      Dj question

Does it matter what time of day you record your dream? Sometimes I have no time in the morning to write down what I can remember, so I'll do it later in the day. I don't forget any parts, because I go through it in my head in the morning. Anyway, I'm trying to increase recall, so I just wondered if it matters in the respect?

The best time to record it for recall purposes is in the morning. Even though you may think you dont forget anything, its the tiny details that are evading your memory without you realizing. If you do not have time in the morning to write it all out, you can try using a voice recorder while your doing your morning duties. Hope this helps!

Well, the sooner you jot them down the more details you should be able to remember, hence making the memory stronger so you can remember it more vividly later. You should also include the "feeling" you felt during that dream to the dream journal such as : As I sat there feeling the wind blowing through my hair I felt calm. But basically the more details you bring back to your mind you're already practicing recalling. The thing is that the more you are able to recall it might feel numbing to write the dreams. Just don't ever stop doing it since writing is one of the most efficient ways to improve the chances of lucidity (~memory) as well.
I do as goes : When I wake up I, I instantly recall all I can and then write the main parts briefly on paper so later I'm able to bring the whole dream back. That is if I can comprehend my handwriting . But there is a brief look from my point of view.

I always record a couple notes when I wake up, if I am gonna type up a dream I do it whenever. As long as I have a good recall when I write a tag, then when returning to the tag I will remember it.

The time of day that you record your dreams in your journal kind of does matter. Earlier in the day (closest to the time you woke up) is typically the most ideal time because you will be able to remember more dreams in higher detail. As the day progresses, you tend to forget more information about your dreams that can be very difficult to recall. I'd recommend keeping a notebook by your bed at night. Each time you wake up in the middle of the night, try to recall your dreams. If you remember a dream, write a few keywords pertaining to that dream in your notebook. Later in the day when you have time to properly record dreams in your journal, look back to those keywords you wrote down to jog your memory. A single word has the power to invoke a memory worth a thousand words.

'Felt' is one of the best words you can use in your DJ. You can also use it to describe things.

"I was at my cousin's house, but it also felt like my friends' house in a way..."

Oh right I forgot to mention... Instead of writing in imperfect (past = felt) it's better to write in present tense (present = feel). This gives you a greater feeling of being in given dream situation when you're re-reading it later.
