      Cool Dream Journal question

Hi, wow I haven't posted or been on this site for like a year and a half, my question is can I use "Notes" app on iPad or iPhone to write down my dreams instead of a pen and paper? Is there any difference, my reason for this is because most of the time I CBA to write down a dream at like 4am. For example I woke up today not remembering any dreams, I saw my dad walk through our door and a dream came flooding back to me so I just wrote it down on my iPad
Penny: So what do you say Sheldon, are we your X-men?
Sheldon: No, the X-men were named for the X in Charles Xavier. Since I am Sheldon Cooper, you will be, my C-men.

Whether it makes a significant difference is very personal. For me, it doesn't really, but there are people who forget most of their dreams when looking at a screen. The only way to find out is through experimentation. Either way, it is advisable to turn the brightness down to a minimum.

A completely alternative option is the tag-book method as introduced by StaySharp: http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-sign...ok-method.html

Use it as extensively as you want; it does help if you can't be bothered to write full dreams in the middle of the night.

It really is just a matter of preference. I personally like typing out my dreams because it gives me the freedom to add/change things if I remember more later or want to edit something. I used to keep a written dream journal as a child though.

Always record what you can, but I think that writing things down by hand tends to be a better way to actually store the memory of your dream. There is something in the action of physically writing, pen to paper, that seems to tell your brain that "this is important" and stronger memories are likely to form.
