      Dream Journal troubles? Need advice/Tips?

it's been about 4-5 days now and my dream recall hasn't improved. I don't write my dreams on paper, I use a app on my iphone (my light is at it's dimmest so not that much light enters my eyes) anyway I use an app instead of paper because I live with my family (sisters and brothers) and they always go theu my stuff.

(I don't know if I just need more time to see an improvement) but I could remember a dream 1 night and not remember anything of a dream the next. And the dreams I do sometimes remember they're unbelievablely blurry!

I meditate and I get enough sleep 7-9 hours a night.

Should I just give it time? Thanks in advance

When you phrase it that way it sounds like you're offering advice

but to answer questions, get in the habit of lying still upon each awakening (use a snooze alarm if you're worried about falling back asleep) and asking yourself "what was I just dreaming about?" Keep at it, you will improve.

      FryingMan's dream recall tips

Avoid stress. Avoid getting frustrated about not recalling, you're just in the very very beginning stages. Yes, give it time. As long as you're sleeping enough (or more precisely, as long as you're well-rested), and as long as you are not stressed, if recalling dreams is important enough to you, your subconscious will begin to get the message and will cooperate to start handing you your dream state memories.

Yes, this is golden. Do it every single time you realize you've woken and reach for dream memories. And don't quit -- dream recall and lucid dreaming progresses most quickly when you are consistent.

I also use my phone most times. it is easier to edit the dream details and easy to copy and paste right to dream views dream journal feature. i have typed mine for a long time now. my recall has been not the best this week so far. part of it is the amount of movement i make when i wake. i usually feel the need to stretch right when i wake up and that physical movement kinda jumpstarts my waking mind more. also thinking of anything other than the dream can cause your mind to stray away from the contents of the dream, or may cause it to drop memory all together. if you can start waking up without moving or thinking about the day ahead you should start seeing a improvement in recall. you may also start to learn tips and tricks that suit you as you start increasing your recall and can get even better. just try to think of the dream right when you wake up and concentrate. forgot it at wake? try to ask yourself in your mind what you were dreaming about and maybe put some ideas in your mind you feel that will bring it back. maybe you had a dream in a forest and you forgot, but thinking of trees in the morning caused you to remember the scene. hope this can help!
