Hi all,
I was just wondering if it is possible to train yourself to wake up as dreams end (non-lucid dreams) to increase dream recall?
Thanks! :)

It very much is ! And it is a great way to remember your dreams.
Actually you always wake up for just a little bit after every dream. You just don't realise it. But with more awareness you can notice these moments and use them to write down your dreams while they are still fresh :)
I'm not too sure on what the best way to train this is, but I would say start with setting your intentions. Use some mantra's and set your expectations on waking up after a dream. Definately keep a Dream Journal. That once really helps. And for a more practical thing, you can also use the simple yet effective method of drinking a decent amount of water before you go to sleep. That way you wake up to pee.
Hope this helps! Good luck!
Hey, yes this is indeed a good technique to boost your recall + in my opinion it is crucial to notice your wakenings so you can start with WBTB´s.
it needs some days but atleast in my case it wasnt that big of a deal.
i used mantras before falling asleep like:
"i will notice my awakening after every dream" or "i wake up after every dream and remember my dream and write it down" or "i will notice every awakening in the night"
when you get the hang on it you dont need the mantra anymore this will be an automatism. most of the time i notice two big awakening one at 3-4h after going to bed and one after around 6h. this are the best times for WBTB´s. when i really am motivated and set intentions i notice a lot more awakenings and most of the time had atleast one dream in my head.
sometimes i use this and write it down sometimes i just turn over and fall asleep again. or say a mantra and fall then asleep again so i even have a slight chance on a DILD without nearly any effort.
it helps when you put your DJ right next to your bed and maby even write down the date and the time when you go to bed right before sleeping so you show your subconcious that it is important for you to remember your dreams and have everything set to write it down as soon as you wake up and remember :)
good luck^^
