My dreamsign is water, either just present in a dream, or me swimming in it, sometimes able to breathe under it, which is a sweet and empowering feeling. My other dream sign is all kinds of handguns, shotguns, machine guns, sniper rifles, you name it. In my last dream I was diving in the water to recover some guns from the bottom of the water. Ok, I play games quite often, and quite a few of my dreams have guns in them or I dream I am in the game, but how much do you have to play games to have the CROSSHAIRS in your dreams?!

My youth leader. Only problem is I see him all the time anyway, so I haven't become lucid.
Also possibly a more recent one? A hotel building. I'm usually in the halls and walk into a room to do something. Although this has only happened twice so far.

I am trying to run as fast as I can and I'm in slow motion, but everything else around me is moving normally. This happens to my brother as well (we are not twins).

I used to always be naked or in my underwear when I was younger but that has stopped.

Well this is prephaps the most stupid dreamsign ever, but I often sit down somewhere and say to myself "Well this is a fucking dream!"

Strangely my most common dream sign is partial vision. My most recent lucid dream involved a head of broccoli covering my eyes, that I could not for the life of me remove from my face. lol.

Constipation. Sometimes when I toss and turn in my sleep, I get a PJ wedgie, and this manifests in a dream as me having to pinch a loaf but not being able to.

But more seriously, the sky. I have never had a dream where the sky wasn't totally bizarre. It's either the wrong color, or there's tornados, or if it's night then the stars are super bright or moving, or there's huge planets floating around, etc.

A certain bar (a mixture between one I go to irl and fantasy), though I haven't seen it for a while.
My teeth falling out, breaking, ..., hence my signature.

A few other things, but they only return every now and then.

A huge, blood-red fox who could talk. I first saw him when I was 13. There was this amazing feeling of "... I have a new friend!" But I had to always try to catch him, or if I saw what I thought was a glimpse, he'd be gone seconds later.

I have such an issue distinguishing real from 'unreal'... like my username. I experience derealization in "real" life every single day. I have also had pretty surreal experiences that, if not having others around me to confirm them, I'd truly believe they were made it. This makes dream signs very, very difficult for me. The one and only time I became lucid, it was after a string of dreams where I was in danger. In this particular dream, I was flying on a little tiny red hellicopter that had no walls and no floor, only a roof and seats. My uncle was driving and I kept telling him I was about to fall. I was hanging on for dear life. Then... BAM! I just somehow put 2+2 together and knew I was dreaming. I let myself fall like a feather down on a green field with absolutely nothing or no one around but a cement building.

I have such difficulty distinguishing things like old people that I know I won't see again because our lives have gone different ways or because it won't be likely. Maybe I'm too hopeful that it will really happen that it doesn't snap me into consciousness.

I've also had numerous dreams of the teeth falling out and such.

However.... another inquiry, how do we distinguish dream signs from a recurring dream? I had a recurring dream dealing with an enormous amount of paranoia that was an issue I apparently needed to work through. My dreams evolved on their own. I was afraid people were coming inside my house to get me. I always saw their shadow, figures, and then later on in recurring dreams, would see the actual people outside the window on their hunt to come inside.
This happened in every single room through every single window of my house.
Then, the last two dreams, I ended up meeting someone who had simply been left stranded and was in need of help, which was why he was attempting to find someone.

Now, it deals with a lakehouse/beach scenery. A new recurring theme. I *nearly* became lucid on the last one, because I partly felt the hint of lucid breeze flowing but... haven't yet come into awareness.

How do we distinguish recurrent dreams from dream signs? My paranoia dreams have ceased (thaaaaaankfully), now it's this new one, which also deals with fear (I'm always looking for sharks, while I'm in the middle of the ocean I'm so afraid. I'm always on a little motored surf board going from the beach to the lakehouse or vice versa with a dream friend)

Vehicles, when I'm in or on them. 4 of my lucid dreams that I can remember was while conducting/riding along in a vehicle. Bicycle: twice. Car: once. Bus: once. Maybe it's not the vehicles themselves, but me "going somewhere and taking a non-existing/ridiculously strange route". Once I was cycling home, but couldn't remember where I'd come back from, so I concluded I must be dreaming. I was.

Cross-country runs, iPads, mermaids, and an angry lawyer by the name of Jaggers. All love messing with my dreams on a weekly basis.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

I haven't seen head or tail of that talking red fox... But I notice a strange pattern occouring in my dreams. They're not lucid, yet.

The number three. For some reason, "three" is always present. Whether it's three days, or three ice cream trucks back to back... or what have you.

I have several and the truth is the more I dream the more new ones i keep adding. here are a few of mine:

1: I feel lighter in my dream (although if im lying down in a bed in a dream it is harder to tell)
2: I always tend to wear black. Specifically black jeans, black shoes, and and a black hoodie.
      3. my hair is longer and lighter than it is in RL
      4. My voice is higher pitched to the point where i sound like a girl or a child.
      5. inability to be burned or get frostbite (even if i touch a hot fire or run through snow barefoot)
      6. Breathing underwater
      7. Clocks (no 2 clocks read the same time in my dreams which is one of the reasons I always wear a watch).
      8. using objects that I don't own in real life (like a typewriter other than the one that I have)
      9. Scenarios that don't make any sense (like being in a cold war era bunker trying to turn an old missile firing computer into a washing machine so i can clean my sheets)
      10. people seem to be completely crazy or just plain stupid beyond belief.

I am sure i will think of more once i post this, but this is a start

I have only noticed two dream signs.

The first one is trains. A little while ago I used to have a lot of dreams featuring trains in one way or another (either I get on a train, get run over by one, or run someone else over with one). But lately I haven't had any dreams featuring them.

My other dream sign is anything mentioning lucid dreaming. Lately I've been having a lot of dreams where lucid dreaming is mentioned in one way or another. In most of those dreams I either see someone viewing the DreamViews homepage, or someone is showing me an article on DreamViews (I even tried a WBTB after a false awakening once). Unfortunately I didn't become lucid in any of those dreams.
Because of this, I now do a reality check whenever I see or hear the word "dream" or any form thereof. As a result, whenever I'm on DreamViews I spend more time doing reality checks than I do reading.

      1. One dream sign that's apparent for me is seeing blonde females making themselves stand out. It can be a voice of a blonde I know in waking life or just their image. Especially EVA from Metal Gear Solid 3, when she was a lot younger than in MGS4.

I've been fascinated by her ever since she gave me a letter in a non-lucid dream.

      2. Another one are shows that I used to watch as a kid (Code Lyoko, etc.)

      3. Me being in High School, Middle School, even Elementary again (I'm in a university right now)

      4. Me waking up in my apartment near my university

I have more, but these are the ones that show up a lot for now.
