Thread: What is YOUR dream sign?

My Dream signs:

-War/Conflict going on
-Driving
-Some of my attractive female friends
-My band members
-People from my first school/ The school itself

Driving is the one that is most likely to trigger my lucidity. Oddly enough, War is a reoccurring dream sign but I used to never do a reality check when it happened. I just went with the flow...shot things, blew things up...

My dream signs are:
Zombies
People I went to school with before I started online school
Spiders

Often I dream about having an excursion, assembly or special activities day at school. This is common to the point where I am going to start doing reality checks every time something uncommon happens during my school day.

I have quite a few dreamsigns, I think.
I often dream of playgrounds that I am trying to climb on (it is often required to use the playground to get from one place to the next) and it is really hard to climb and I feel like I'll fall off. A similar dreamsigns is stairs, a bridge or something like that has holes in it and I am trying to get from one place to another but I feel unsafe and like I'll fall off. It happens a lot.

Also a common dreamsign is rushing to get ready for school because I am running out of time or forgetting shoes, my bag, my uniform and only noticing when I left the house or am at school and then having to come back home, which brings another dreamsign, walking home or to school at night (which obviously doesnt happen in real life) and usually I feel unsafe or like someone is following me.

Another dreamsign that happens a lot is unusable toilets. What I mean by that is they are either very dirty, the doors don't actually cover anything so people can see you pee or anything else that would make you not want to go there. It is usually public toilets but my home toilet has been like that too.

Also a few of my favourite characters or people I've been thinking about a lot lately.

I have a few more but those are the most common ones. Because so many of my dreamsigns involve unpleasant feelings, unpleasant feelings themselves are now a dreamsign. So yeah, I have other more pleasant dreamsigns besides my favourite characters, but they don't seem to appear as often as I'd like.

My current dreamsigns are: being late to an appointment (and having a lot of stress because of that), water, seeing the actors of my favorite tv show, hanging out with people I don't like.

I always seem to be inside of games, sometimes I start out playing at the computer and then I just turn into whatever character I'm playing. If I'm not dreaming of games I usually dream that I am in school but it's remade or looks fairly different.

Also on the rise for me seems to be muay thai (a martial art) which I train, I often dream of practising it or sparring.

My dream signs are suppose to be the following (but I will have an excuse and this is how I behave when the dream sign appears):

Water (can't swim and get extremely sea sick if I was on a boat but I will just tell myself I took my motion sickness medication)
Famous People (rarely where I see one let alone be around one where I live)
Dead family members (I will talk to them in a non-lucid dream like this is totally normal)
Devastating natural events (I will sit there and just get wrapped up the tornado, earthquake, and/or hurricane and hope everybody is running like I am)
Me doing impossible things (like flying a plane, I will make up an excuse like, "Those driving lessons must have paid off because now I can fly a plane!")

I have seen all of these signs in my dreams...and yes...when I dream I believed everyone of them. I can never rely on dream signs because I will get caught up and so fascinated by what I'm looking at that I just go along with everything like a bonefide dream fool. So I just have forgotten about dream signs because they just don't work for me.

I had a very rare DILD and I can't even remember what was going on when I just realized I was lucid and then flying. It is truly hit and miss for me with dream signs, so I just rely on WILDS & DIELDS.

BTW, I religiously do the ADA's, RRC's, and RC's everyday and I also meditate a few times a week. I still just can't get it to move over into my dreaming world so I can catch me doing these things. Different things work for different people, so you just have to find out what works best for you. Just because it doesn't work for me does not mean that it will not work for someone else. I've put some thought into it, and I can't say I have a dream sign, and I can tell you why:

I like to roleplay, therefor, I play the role I'm given. If there's volcanoes at my high school, or a zombie apocalypse, or even if I'm shopping in the produce section (yeah, just last night I was shopping in the produce section of a market in a dream), each instance is assumed to be real, and I never come to a point where I see something and realize I'm dreaming, I fear that moment.

There was one dream though, where I became semi-lucid, and gave myself control and knew I was dreaming. I was at my grandparents house. For fun, I tried a few lucid dreaming techniques, I hovered across the kitchen floor, which isnt flying, but close enough. I then tried to summon a rabbit, and got a guy in a rabbit suit instead. I also teleported across that kitchen. After summoning the rabbit, I tried to do something else when I accidentally woke up, but cant remember what I tried.

80% of my dreams are black & white or dark

Once in a while I'll be pulled out of sky scrapers by a random force (fear of heights)

Superpowers (need to figure out how to become lucid from these)

I don't know if I would call them signs, but I often dream about super powers (super heroes in general) and Celebrities (don't judge me).

Until a few months ago my most recurrent dream sign was trying to stop the car I was driving but the car kept going like it had no brakes, due to the fact that I had an accident in real life. Fortunatly, the "trauma" seems to be gone, unfortunatly I can't use that to have lucid dreams anymore xD

- Playing video games
- Being accompanied by people whom I don't know and never get a good look at
- Magic cards not looking right, or changing when I look away and then look back
- Getting lost while walking home

My dream signs are Pokemon

Familiar places are slightly warped. Buildings and rooms have new features (taller ceiling, pillars of marble, different tiles, carpet). Located somewhere else, ex. house is in the city when it is usually in the country.

Mirrors.
I used to distort my own reflection once and i was frightended of it, but now i'm not scared anymore and i don't even change my look a little bit! So now, if i see a mirror in a dream, usually as false awakening, it's quite sure i become lucid in seconds! i often use mirrors as portals to go somewhere...my perfect reality check

Mine are pretty funny/ interesting

* Flying in a plane then having a sensation of falling down in a plane but not crashing

* Seeing different land/freshwater crabs (I used to own pet crabs when I was younger)

* Dreaming of my old high school but it is not quite like the school I used to go to

Another dream sign is looking at my hands and palms when i do that i usually know I'm in a dream and become lucid

Since I have started practicing LD (2 weeks) I have realized my dream signs are:
-my father and mother
-other family members
-being in a place that I consider my home in my dream
-my father's house
-smoking joins
-tigers

I know perfectly well my dream signs but I cannot think about doing a reality check when I see them and it annoys me a lot xD

• Shadow The Hedgehog in physical form
• Being in my house
• Weird/Off sounds
• A weird luminous glow as if my vision has became foggy.

A couple of days have gone by where I have awoken from my dreams where I felt the need to reality checks. I am beginning to naturally feel like I'm still in dream land when I awaken.

My current list is:

1. not being able to fall asleep (how a FA sometimes starts, rarely happens in real life)
2. being in a sexual situation or seeing nude people (unfortunately, IRL, pretty rare these days )
3. cats (usually stray) attacking me at home or ruining my plants (the last bit sometimes occurs IRL)
4. family drama / arguing (thankfully rare IRL)
5. physical violence / fighting (doesn't occur IRL)
6. driving a car (occurs IRL, but so prominent in dreams that it made this list)

in the early days redheads were prominent ,lately water and driving,sometimes erratically always present

Right now, certain co-workers seem to be appear in my dreams frequently.
