      I was thinking...

So, if you go to bed when your tired, your dreams are more vivid, and less easy to remember, right? And when you go to bed early, you remember more, less vivid dreams, right?

So does this mean that if your dream recall is going downhill then your probably going to bed too late? And that people that start lucid dreaming are exited about it, so they start out with good dream recall because they go to bed earlier, and slowly become more careless, and go to bed later, less exited about remembering their dreams, so they go downhill, until they get better?

      Just a thought...
Is this a valid question or am I just rambling?

It isn't always that way. You typically won't remember as many dreams if you go to bed late, but going to bed early doesn't guaruntee good dream recall, especially if you let yourself sleep in afterwards. And as for the depth and quality of the dreams varies regardless of when you go to sleep for many people.

So, generally, yes, but there's a lot of more important factors in dream recall and the level of vividity.
