      Dream Recall from Naps?

Recently, i've been taking naps when i get home from cross country practice. The problem is when i wake up i can't remember anything about my dreams. I don't recall ever dreaming, but i know i am. I keep a dream journal and i've read somewhere that the most vivid dreams occur during the day. Is there a way i can improve my recall? Is it different during the day?

The images i see before drifting into sleep are very vivid, but when i wake up it is like i was never asleep.

The most vivid dreams and LDs can occur during naps, but it doesn't work for everyone. You can try to improve your recall by not moving or opening your eyes when you wake up. Concentrate on what you were just dreaming or feeling. Write down any keywords or phrases that come to mind.
