I finally recognized a dream sign!

This is my first time ever! I'm really excited. I was dreaming last night, and I dreamed that I woke up in my mom's bed at my old house, and it was 4:30 PM, and apparently, the power had gone off, so all the clocks thought it was a different time. So I walked around for a bit, in denial, because I really didn't want it to be so late.

I was in the kitchen at my old house, and I kept saying to myself, "I'm in a dream, I'm in a dream."

Then it hit me, I was in my old house! I had moved.

And I then had a very vivid lucid dream. I'm rather happy.

Are there any ways that I could recognize my dream signs more and more?

I hate to say the cliche, but journal!
Not only has this improved my recall in general (in fact, I can remember dreams for days on end now!), but I've since recognized that one (some?) my dream signs are the presence of my old high school friends.

Very good idea - your DJ is your most valuable tool for dreamsigns and LDing.

      And I love your avatar!

I finally started my DJ and I have already discovered several more DS's.

I had one of those device failure dreamsigns a few days ago (lightswitch not working.) Unfortunately, I didn't LD and just woke up, but it was cool to realize that I seem to be making progress.

Nice job recognizing that dreamsign. I find going through my dream journal helps me recognize my dream signs more than anything else.

That is a good one. People that I haven't seen in years always seem to pop up in my dreams, but I never thought of that as a dream sign before.

Hmm...now if I can only remember this in a dream.

Maybe just try repeating to yourself that you WILL remember to recognize taht you are dreaming? What worked well for me was literally taping up signs that said that all around the house. It's a great daily reminder.
