Is it possible for the time not to change?

When i realized that I was in a dream, i decided to try the thing where you look at a clock. in my room in real life, i have two clocks; one digital and one normal clock on my wall. in my dream, both clocks were there. i glanced at one and it said 4:12. when i looked back it still said 4:12. when i read about this, the time was supposed to change. it didnt channge. however, when i looked at the clock on my wall, it said 10:45. so the two clocks had drastically different times, but the digital clock time didnt change when i looked at it and then looked away

I personally believe anything is possible in a dream. But because everyone always says clocks don't work in a dream, many people have clocks in their dream that don't work. Personally one time I went lucid by breathing with my nose plugged. To make sure I was lucid I tried sticking my finger through my hand. I could never do it. But that may be different.

I think it might depend on the dream, sometimes the time will change others it may not.

A good idea would be to try and make the time change yourself. Try to see if you can change the numbers on the clock. Seeing as it's your dream, it should be possible (and probably will be).

According to LaBerge iirc, the first time you look away and back you have a 75% chance of the time changing. The second time 95%, and the third time it must've been changed for sure, or your dream just wont allow that clock to change its time. :P
