So twice in the past week I have woken up and recalled dreams... (well more than twice... lots more) but these particular times I was dead tired and didn't wanna write it down. So I decided to associate the dreams with a word, and then I would remember it in the morning... Well I remember the phrases "cheese" and "shark" but not what I was trying to associate them with... heh What could I have possibly been dreaming of involving cheese... lol

Lol, they are not gone forever, it's possible to recall dreams months after you had them

When I wake up in the middle of a night I put a few keywords in my dream journal. Usually this is enough to remind me about the dream in the morning when i can expand any entry I deem worthy.

Keywords don't seem to cut it for me, it's no problem when I have one or two small things to write down... but in the two weeks I've been journaling, twice I have remembered enough to keep me writing for close to an hour. This occured last night actually and I decided it was a good time to WBTB and try to WILD... but I was struck with insomnia >_<

It really does pay off to pull yourself out of exhaustion and write down dreams. That trains will power, which in return will make room for better recall as the effort towards it grows.

Keywords don't really work for me either. I'll remember something about the keyword but nothing in detail. I prefer writing down everything in detail as soon as I wake up so I don't forget it. It really annoys me when I go back to sleep without writing anything down and then forget it! Like this morning.

      Hmmmm... cheese.

But yes, going back to sleep allmost Certainly kills that recall... however I can not write it down in the morning, get up, and write it down at the end of the day. Only I guess then I never think of new things that happend.

I use keywords to remind myself of dreams when I'm too lazy to write them down - it works well for me.

I'm always amazed when I go back and read through my DJ from years ago - I had totally forgotten about those dreams, but when I read them again, the memory comes flooding back and I can see every detail as I remembered it before in my mind's eye.
