5 DIFFERENT DREAMS IN 1 NIGHT!!!

I just started on this board not long ago and have not had any LD's yet, however, I've been working on my dream recall. I made a cheesy recording of myself saying to wake up after every dream and that I would remember the dream many times over for about 15 minutes with some soothing rainstorm music in the background. I just started a dream journal 2 days ago, and did this recording last night. WOW!!! I woke up 5 different times right after each dream and wrote them all down. Usually I'm lucky if I can remember 1-2 a week. It was awesome!!! I have 2 1/2 pages of dreams, just from last night.

Congrats! Remembering lots of dreams in one night are a sure sign that you're on your way!

Oh yeah, autosuggestion is really powerful. I underestimated it when I first used it.

When you made that recording... did you make it on a tape or cd? I use autosuggestion along with the 61-point relaxation method but sometimes I forget to tell my self to remember while I'm counting... I think that the recording would really help me. Also... when you're falling asleep... do you consentrate on your voice?

I sort of just focused on what I was saying for the first half, then I sort of got lost in the rain forest sounds. I tried to lay still and just listen to what I was saying on the recording. I think it's one of the fastest times I've fallen asleep, also.

I recorded it onto my computer that is in my room, so I just play it as I'm falling asleep.

I did the same thing last night, too. However I was being very dumb. I know that I woke up after every dream again, but I didn't write any of them down (but I know that I did dream a lot), cause I was way too tired. Now this morning, I don't remember any of them and it feels like I didn't even dream last night. I'm now going to try to make a point, no matter how tired I am, to write them all down. Oh well. Good luck to everyone if you're going to try this. It really worked for me. ( I think that I'm going to make more recordings of me saying the same things, but put it to different relaxing music. Listening to the same thing every night is going to get very old.)

      Good for you Rusty.

If you are tired during the night just write down one or two keywords. Then in the morning the whole thing will come back to you when you read what you have written.

That seems to have worked pretty well for you, what did you repeat to yourself in the recording? It would be interesting to know....

I have one recording that says...

"I will wake up after every dream period and I will remember my dream"

then I have another recording saying all of my dream signs. (haven't used this one yet)

      "1. Trouble speaking or yelling
      2. Trouble gripping something
      3. Bathrooms (don't ask why, cause I don't know) (very common)
      4. Being chased
      5. Getting lost in Large Buildings or Houses (very common)
      6. Forgetting Locker Combinations
      7. Being late to school or in the Wrong Class at school
      8. Seeing myself from a 3rd person point of view" (every dream)

Usually at least one of these happen in my dreams, so this seems like a good way to get all of these into my subconsious.
