I'm really trying to improve my DR at the moment. I've noticed that taking B6 really does help. I've been taking 150 mg per night and have increased my recall of dreams from a few dreams a week to a couple dreams a night. In addition to the B6, I've been maintaining my dream journal. I've been using the "notes" feature on my phone (it also serves as the alarm that wakes me up after 5 hours for my WBTB so it's convenient) and have only been recording my dreams with key words: Who, what, when, where, and anything out of the ordinary. However, by the time I wake up in the morning and several dreams later, most of the words become meaningless to me. Finer details and sequence of events seem to almost completely avoid me. My question is will my DR improve just by doing what I'm doing now or, if not, can anyone suggest a more efficient manner of recording my dreams? Thanks!

**Sorry mods, I just realized that there was a better place to have posted this. My apologies, my feelings won't be hurt if you move.

Is 50mg safe? A 100% dose is only 2mg. Anyways, maybe try writing down specifics when you wake up instead of just keywords.

I'm pretty sure that 50mg is safe, because I've been taking 150mg. It makes a difference, however the recommended dosage is only 50mg, so I think I'm going to cut it down to that.

My phone has a voice recorder on it so I've got it as a shortcut to where I hit one button and it starts... then I just mumble in the words I recall from the dream and hope I can understand myself in the morning

Its hard to understand someone who is speaking after being awake for about 5 seconds

I have that problem as well. I tend to mumble even when I've been awake for longer than 15 seconds. I can barley understand myself when I listen to what I recorded that night in the morning.

The only real thing I can suggest is to keep a notepad with you at all times. Just a small one, and a pen, so you can write it down. Or if you have a laptop, use that. I wish I had a laptop, I type faster than I write, and my handwritting is terrible. : (
