Since I've started trying various Reality Checks, I find I'm dreaming about reality checks. For example, lately, I dream about turning on light switches. In the dream, I hit the switch and it works fine. I get two steps into the room, realize that a light switch is supposed to mean something to me. I then go back to the light switch and proceed to turn lights on and off until I wake up.
I find that this happens with all the reality checks. They almost become dream signs.
Anyone else have this problem? I'm pretty sure most of the advice I get will be to keep trying. I never used to have a problem realizing I was dreaming. Now that I'm activily trying, it seems to be harder to do!
And maybe the light switch is a bad example as the guy I bought my house from was some wacky electrician who had a fetish for light switches. Half of them aren't hooked up, and the rest trun on the oddest pattern of lights....

I have this problem too. In the dream I just force myself to make sense of it. For example, the nose plug one. Once I did it in my dream; I just breathed out of my hand instead, which was perfectly acceptable. I also knock on things a lot in my dream, like I'm testing them out to see if there real. I had a whole first half of my dream dedicated to doing reality checks, like looking at my hands but nothing unusual happening.
Maybe I should take a break from doing reality checks in the waking world and I won't be so worried about it in the dream world. But that kind of defeats the purpose.
