Horrible Dream Recall Last Two Days

Hi guys. For the past two days I've been having horrible Dream recall. Before those two days, I had great dream recall. Being able to remember 2-4 dreams a night clearly. I've only started my dream journal this week, however I probably have about 2 weeks of Dream Recall experience. 1 week, about 12 months ago, and 1 week, this week. But for some reason, I could not remember my past dreams. I did not have an alarm buzzer to wake me up, I woke up before that. As soon as I woke up, I laid in bed remember. I would move around to scratch and itch or something, but that was it. But I could not remember. I relaxed my mind, asked myself questions, etc.

Is this normal? Will my recall come back?

Before those two days, I did a meditation technique with an Audiobook of Steven Laberge on gaining Lucidity. And maybe that is the reason. But I don't want to listen to it every night just to have good recall.

Any tips?

I'm in the same boat! i had one night of 8 very long and vivid dreams. but since then i don't remember a thing!

Don't worry! Lapses in recall are totally normal, and happen to everyone. Sometimes your recall will be good, and sometimes it sucks. That's just the way it is. So don't stress about it, since that will only make it worse. Just remember that it'll be back again before you know it.

Well said. Yeah, my recall was pretty much nothing for two days, then BAM! it was back. It seems when I forget about it, it just comes back in full force.

i had 0 recall for two days and then the next day i had a false awakening which ive never had, and the next day every dream i had was lucid, so hopefully something good will most likely come out of you not having good recall for a day or two.

Reading this has given me some relief, as I've had the same problem, for the same time period. So I shall take your advice, and not worry! =)

O_O How many of us are having two day periods of no recall?

Forgetting about it most likely is the best counter. I'll try that now...

Ah -- nice thread! I've been having some horrible recall the past couple of days and I was kindof worried about the same thing. It's horrible when your dreams are on the tip of your tongue the entire day but you can't quite remember what it was about, only what it felt like.

Sometimes I won't remember any dreams for a day or two then it just comes back the next I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Lately, I've been remembering 3 per night. However, there's always going to be a night (or few) when you remember only one or none - it's normal. Every four-five days or so, I have a forgetful night or two. Your recall will come back.
