Drop in recall
My recall has sucked for the past week. I'm not entirely sure what would cause this. Did anyone ever have a drop of recall out of nowhere? I think it's stress, or maybe just lack of motivation as i'm very tired in the morning. I also go to bed at 1 every night, but I've been doing this before with no problem. Any ideas to help?

I think maybe if it is stress going on to much in you day to day life then, I hav notice in my dreams stress has affected me. For meditation works and just calming yourelf down throught the day.

I'm actually experiencing a drop in recall as well these past 3 days. I had been recalling 2 or 3 dreams every night for a little while. Then 2 days ago I didn't remember anything, yesterday I recalled a little bit of one dream, and today I didn't remember anything either. Usually its temporary though, from what I've read. Just keep at it, and it should go back to normal. Don't lose hope... :meditate:
Good luck on your upcoming recalls...

My recall is slowly coming back, but it's still not too good. I think one thing that's getting me is the fact that I get nervous when I wake up that I won't remember my dream, since this has happened. What happens is that I'm standing in the shower and CLICK! it comes back to me, but not as much as if I just woke up knowing it. I'm going to have to just let it come to me, I guess.

MY recall went down after i stopped trying to LD. I have been trying to again and now it is coming back. I actually remembered a decent dream I had last night, which is cool.

What would be the best time to go to bed for the best recall?

Whatever time you want. Be sure to get enough sleep to function, and most imporantly be consistent. I cannot stress how much consistency helps with recall. For example, I now use an alarm to get myself up a couple minutes before the end of my REM periods, ensuring superb, nearly foolproof recall. Also, consistency with time will make you more likely to remember dreams at that time--it builds upon itself.
Other than that, I suggest you read a journal entry or two from a time where you had good recall, and don't stress. I'm considering posting a pretty good method (both for recall and as a reality check)... But I'm too tired, and will do it in a thread later. xD
