      Recall??

For a week or so now, I've not been able to remember my dreams. When I first started a DJ, I remembered at least SOMETHING to write down in the morning. About a week ago I began waking up after my dreams and being too lazy to write them down. That has declined into just remembering that I had a dream, and, finally, to last night when I didn't even remember that I dreamed. (I know, you dream every night, but I didn't think that I dreamed at all) A few stressful things have been going on, but they're over now. I haven't been angry about not remembering, just a little bit annoyed. Is it maybe because I haven't been doing my basic MILD-ing ?(I will remember my dream...-mind drifting- wait... I will remember my dream...until I fall asleep) Can someone please tell me of a way to improve?? Thanks!

I have the same exact problem, bud.

Not very helpful post, I'm afraid, but I can't help you much.

kcat220, what really messes up my recall is being jarred awake by an alarm or some other sound and/or if I immediately change position or start thinking about my day once I wake up.

Try telling your subconscioius to wake you up after each dream or to wake you up about 15 minutes before your alarm goes off (I know it sounds stupid but you'd be surprised how accomodating your subconscious can be).

Once you wake up.. do not move! Think about the dream that you just had.. If nothing comes to mind.. try to remember if there was a specific person, place, thing, food or emotion in the dream. Once you come up with
even a tidbit of the dream.. try to work your way backward.. how did you get there.. who was with you, etc.

Also be sure to write down your any remembrance of your dreams.

      I hope this helps.
