How long did it take you?

For those who can remeber one or more dreams basically every night, how long did it take you to get to that point when you first started to improve your recall?

When i first started writing in a dream journal i was recalling dreams every night from then on(rather than before where i was getting none or sometimes 1), of course theres the occasional week or so that my dreams never to me but they always come back.
It is impossible to live in the past, difficult to live in the present and a waste to live in the future.

Same. Once I started writing things down I all of a sudden was able to remember my dreams.

That's all you did? Because since I started a DJ, I rememeber one about every second or third day. At least that's way better than before, when I remembered dreams once or twice a month, or maybe even less. How many dreams did you remember before you started DJing?

I've been lucky in that area. I don't remember a time when I didn't remember at least one dream a night.

Yeah Raven I'm there with you...

But RPGmaker, maybe you should look at your sleep patterns or things that could keep your recall down... possibly investigate any medications you are taking as well because this can do CRAZY things to you...

I don't take any medications, but I don't really have a set bed time. I can go to bed anywhere from 10:30 - 1:00, depending on how tired I am, whether I have school the next day, or how destracted I get. Would that be enough to do it?

I remembered like half a dream every weak or so, maybe? The excitement of it all probably caused it.

I'm in the same situation as you are actually. I've made massive improvements now with my DJ but there was probably about 10 years of my life where I don't remember a single dream. Now that I've taken an interest in it and started my DJ I can remember one about every other night or so, they're not always very long though, mostly just the tail end of whatever I was recently dreaming about.

Whenever I'm dream journaling, I'm usually able to remember at least one dream. But I don't think that's a drastic difference from normal for me, because just about every night, I remembered *that* I had at least one dream, usually at least two dreams, and the latest full-length dream could usually be remembered to some degree before I woke up.

I haven't been able to remember whole entire dreams, though. I never have. And my memory of dreams early in the night is almost always much less than that of dreams later in the night. I can think of one recent exception, in which the early dream was the best-remembered one as I spent the rest of the night failing to WILD.

No dream goals at the moment...just flying and letting stuff happen is kinda fun, and it's hard to motivate myself to try LDing lately.
