Need advice on building recall

I was always interested in dreams. Actually lucid dreams were not my biggest priority |actually i didnt knew they existed|. Now I know. And they moved into my nr.1 priority in dreaming.
But as all, the process needs to begin. And here it begins with recall. I started to build some recall, but I seem to be pretty deep sleeper. Could you give me some advice how to build recall for deep sleeper:

I will describe you my situation. Everytime I wake up, the alarm clock is to stressing for me or whatever. I instantly loose every memory I had. It is for me impossible to try night awakenings, becouse I live in a college and cannot disturb the others while they are sleeping. Still the alarm clock is killing me. What do you do to stay calm, when it awakes you? Did you have the same problem as me? Plz help me. I want to remember my dreams and later on try lucid dreams.

Is it true, that after developing dream recall, the dreams will become more vivid? When I tried to build recall before it helped, but i dont know, if it is only coincidence or what?

Its harder to remember your dreams when you are woken up, you want to try to wake up naturally. Before bed you should tell yourself that you want to remember your dreams, and you will wake up from your dreams. Something that helps my recall is going to sleep earlier, so you should try that too.

Thats cool. If I get plenty of sleep, it should help to stand up naturally. Little problem is, that I am student of Informatics in the last year of university. And you know. I have a lot of work till night. But if I work harder it will help me to find some time to sleep. But how can I guarantee I wont oversleep my school? Is there some technique or so?

well, you can use the alarm clock to wake up in the morning, you normaly wake during the night to recall dreams, and I believe the alarm clock wakes you up to fast, so you loose the dream.

So as far as i understand. Is it about choosing the ringtone, so it fades in and is not so agressive? Good point. Thanx. I will try it.

Get too much sleep. That seems to help for me. Also, if you drink a LOT of water before going to sleep chances are that you'll awaken to pee in the night (hopefully not in bed) and that can help too. I find that the more times I wake up to pee the more dreams I can remember. Also, if you're not already keeping a dream journal then start, this is probably one of the most valuable and effective tools to increasing recall for most people, even though most of us have trouble keeping at it over the long run. I find myself sluffing it off WAY more often than I should, but believe me if you put in the effort you WILL reap the rewards. Chocolate and/or B6 at bedtime can help too.

I will personally guarantee that if/when you become lucid for the first time you will think to yourself (as we all did) that your dreaming reality is MORE VIVID (and seems more real somehow) than waking reality. Nobody really believes or understands this until it happens to them. Once you've experienced that first hand my friend you will well and truly be hooked (just as we all have been!) for life.

During a previous attempt to LD I was recording only a few dreams per night. This time I am using a brainwave entrainment session every day and my dream recall has SKYROCKETED!! It's pleasurable and is paying off. Lots of BWE options out there. It works for me. And yes, a journal is VITAL. Good luck!!

Journal is already under my pillow. Still. Lot of people talk about brainwave entertainment. What is it. COuld you please describe it. and/or give me some link?

Brainwave entrainment is the process by which external frequencies produced electronically influence an individual's brainwaves. As we know what frequencies our brains are generating at any given time based on our state of consciousness, we can modify it through BWE, thereby producing other states of consciousness, such as hypnotic states in which we are hyper suggestible. There is lots of information on the Internet about BWE. Try a Google search; you'll find tons of information.

Cool. I readed about brainwave synchronization already. Didnt thought it is the mentioned entertainment. So you let you hear some waves, which move you into hypnotic or suggestible state, and what do you do then?

It depends. There are BWE sessions specifically designed for LD. In the Lucidity Aids forum there is a thread instructing how to construct an LD sesson on Brainwave Generator. There are subliminal CD's on the Web for sale which purport to increase LD. Personally, I purchased an LD brainwave session by instant download from Brainwave Mind Voyages.

I put a cell phone on vibrate and put it in my sock with the alarms set for the short night wake ups I want.
Very cheap method.

When i make my relaxation exercises in the evening, my mind tends to be more awake. It is cool. Well. I am going to continue with recall. As you guys said. It is worth the try. And I believe you.
The recall is so hard to get, but it is about breaking habits. And these habits of forgeting dreams were powerfull. With your help and assistance i will increase it. I cant wait for my next dream to be recorded.
