      Unhappy Dream Recall Going

For the past week my dream recall has gone down the toilet The thing is nothing has changed. Im not exactly stressed (still got two weeks before uni )
I went from being able to at least being able to get 1 full length detailed dream + at least two noted dreams down. To none, or slight remembrance that I had a dream. In the past 8 days I have only recored one decent dream (yet to upload).

Whats even more annoying I'm becoming semi-lucid much more lately (only thing I can really remember when i focus hard). At least once a night, but failing to remember anything.

I take 500-1000mg of Valerian root to help me get to sleep and the occasion 100mg 5HTP for bipolar when I'm down. I havnt taken a B6 in over a week now. I will try that tonight, but what have other people done to overcome this rather frustrating problem.

drugs affect dreaming and this can be one of the problems, i have Valerian root too and i thought it would help me in Lucid dreaming because i could fall asleep faster. i've had little recall when i was using valerian root. it could be differant for you but it sure didnt help me.

Over the past 3 months, I have taken it, up to 2000mg and have noted no lack in dream recall. I have deiced to take a week off it and see how it goes. But I have very poor sleep schedules, it helps balances it out and take the edge of insomnia. The only drug ive run across that completely destroys recall/dream is benzos.

EDIT : looking back through my DJ, everything time (bar 1) I take a B6 supplement my entry's are relatively large. I will try just some B6 tonight and report back. Maybe im lacking it in my diet.

What's your sleep pattern like? Is it irregular?

Well there can be many things that could cause this lack of recall. A change in your sleep, stress that you are going through. Some people just go through dry spells where they lose recall for a short while.

      B6 does help out!

What can also affect dream recall is simply getting more sleep/sleeping longer. I notice on the weekends when I can sleep over 8+ hours my recall greatly improves.

Don't worry! Lapses in recall are totally normal, and happen to everyone. Sometimes your recall will be good, and sometimes it sucks. That's just the way it is. So don't stress about it, since that will only make it worse. Just remember that it'll be back again before you know it.

      Thanks every one

Well my interest got the better of me and I had a tablet of Valerian (500mg) + 100mg B6 to see if Valerian did anything to my dream call. Like a ton of bricks in the face. Recall is back Im defiantly lacking B6 in my diet. Now I just got to get lucid again, been about a year since my last decent LD.

I also did get more sleep, about 9 hours, including making entries in my DJ.

Yes my sleep patterns are very irregular. Some times 9pm beds, some times 2am.

Ahh theres a section about recall, didnt see that...
