      dream signs lead to DILDs

Most of my LDs are DILDs (over 60%). And I have a bunch of LDs, an average of over 3 per night. I think one reason I have so many is because I have a long list of dream signs. Some of my dream signs happen often in waking life and others don't.

Since many newbies struggle to identify exactly what can be a dream sign I thought I'd share part of my list. So, here it is:

      • I am in a performance, practicing for a performance, or watch a performance
      • I am on stage, in a stadium, an auditorium, or other place where performances take place.
      • I'm at a church or at a religious discussion.
      • I'm at a dorm, school, classroom, or University.
      • I see friends from high school.
      • I am blind.
      • I am someone other than myself.
      • I see zombies.
      • I see wolves.
      • there is a tornado.
      • I'm camping or at a camp.
      • I see my ex.
      • there are aliens or supernaturals.
      • I'm in my birth town.
      • I'm in my mom's town.
      • I'm in my childhood town.
      • I'm flying or floating.
      • I'm a student.
      • I'm at my dad's house.
      • I'm at my grandma's house.
      • I'm having sex or see someone else having sex.

Thanks for the list. My problem is i cant seem to identify my dream signs in my dreams...I do have a few that i gathered from my dream journal, but when i see them in my dream i still dont say "hey am i dreaming?"
Do you have any suggestions to help me with this?
I can have the craziest dream ever and i just pass it by as normal life, then when i wake up in the morning im all pissed off cause i passed up another attempt to have a LD

Wow, if your looking for a frustrating story try this one. Last night I was dreaming and did a reality check. Noticed I had 7 fingers on one hand and then decided I must be really tired and went back to (dream) bed! I only remembered while browsing the forums, how annoying!

Had I attained lucidity it would have only been my second time ever! My first was amazing, I had pretty good control of my dream world as well, I could summon people and scenario's, it was awesome.

Just thought I'd share a story to make you guys feel better about not noticing dream signs, I actually ignore reality, how frustrating.

Still it means that my reality checks are working. I do about 5 a day, I have 5 reminders set on my phone that set me off and then every other time I hear a similar noise to that of which my phone makes I do one. Only been doing them for three days and I did one in my dream, awesome! Oh what, just did one then!

      Good luck.

At the risk of sounding rude...no intention. It is hard to believe that the dreaming mind can recognize so many dreamsigns. Dreamsigns aren't very effective if there are so many of them unless your mind is as disciplined as a Tibetan monk? And you do reality checks whenever you...encounter them? Otherwise there is no way you can recognize all of them in the dream. Unless it isn't the dreamsigns that told you you are dreaming....maybe it was a dream feeling that you felt that told you.

Honestly imj that list may seem large but its really not. Think of all the symbols that mean something to you in waking life. Anything and everything can basically trigger an emotion. If you can discipline your mind to recognize hundreds of thousands of symbols of waking life a small list of like 20 things all leading toward a single point of awareness really doesn't seem that far fetched.

I agree that each individual sign may not be as effective as someone who uses maybe 3 very powerful/accurate ones; but the system as a whole can still function. A larger number of possibilities with less accuracy.

I believe a good chunk of DILDs are fueled by a constant dream sign called desire. Anything can manifest itself as out of the ordinary when you want it to.

No, I don't recognize I'm dreaming every time I see one of my dream signs. Sometimes I'm not paying attention and miss them. However, I do RC everytime I encounter one in waking life. My two favorite RCs are the nose-pinch one and to think back and see if I know where I've been and how I got where I am.

That list could be pretty helpful, I never thought to use schools, and things like that as dreamsigns. Many of my dreams are in old schools and/or with old friends.

My first intentional Ld came about because I noticed that the refrigerator in my kitchen was not the proper model. wtf?

Whereas last night I dreamt that I was driving past my local mall with Shaq Oniel driving my old ford ranger, and he took me to a virtual reality bar, u know a cheesey 80s one with the blue/red grids. That didn't seem out of place enough for me to notice, I really don't understand my mind
