Best Friend is Dreamsign / My dreams are TOO realistic! Help!

Hello, I've been reading through some posts about dream signs and how they work, but when I see people's examples of dream signs they are usually things that could not happen to them during the waking hours.

Unfortunately for me, I've noticed that all of my dreams involve my best friend in some way. Whether it just be us playing soccer together, talking late at night about some random subject, or driving in a car together, it's always him, and it's always something that happens often/could easily happen in the real world.

I need some tips as to how to do RCs for this type of Dream sign. I read the Guide to Reality Checks but I didn't see any tips about your best friend being a dream sign.

Should I just look for other, more subtle dream signs?

Also, I don't know if this is normal for a beginner, but as of now I basically am in the 3rd person when dreaming -- I see the dream go by but I feel no possibility of jumping into the dream and doing RCs. Is it just because all of my dreams are extremely realistic? Here's the dream I had last night so that you can see how "normal" it is.

I wake up in the morning. It's a Saturday; I can tell by the lack of alarm. I walk downstairs to get myself some breakfast. My mother's already down there, preparing a green pepper and cheese Omelette. Faint music is playing throughout the house, coming from the speaker system. I don't even bother getting breakfast, but instead I head outside.
It's a chilly day, Autumn most likely. I pick up my cell phone from the ground (First 'unrealistic' event) and call up my best friend, who conveniently lives down the block. He picks up after half a ring. I ask him to go to a movie. He asks which one, to which I respond "Vanilla Sky". (I've never even seen that movie) As we drive down the road we chat about how tough the year of school's been. We arrive at the movie theatre and attempt to buy tickets. The man asks us our age and we say 20, even though we're actually 16. He lets us into the movie. Fast forward a few hours.
Later that day we're at my house, in my room. I'm on my computer, he's on his. We're playing some video game, I don't know which. He mentions to me that we have school tomorrow. (Possible unrealism; logically the next day would be Sunday) I say, "Alright, let's sleep." We immediately fall asleep in our chairs. End of dream.

If you didn't bother to read all that, I don't blame you. It's very dull. My dreams are all sort of like that with a few exceptions. 9/10 dreams relate my best friend somehow, and do it with very logical sequences. There's never really any "outrageous" happenings.

Any advice, from anyone, would be greatly appreciated. Advice on a RC for my Dream Sign, advice on how to pick apart smaller details and really get into my dream rather than my body just accepting the dream as true because of the realism.

      Thanks again!

It's a funny problem to have. I've had similar issues with extremely dull dreaming. I would suggest auto-suggestion for that. Ask/tell yourself for/to have interesting, wilder dreams. Give it a chance and it should work.

Just find a generic RC and do it regularly otherwise. Finger through the hand or something like that.

Your dream sign does not need to be something outrageous. The closest thing to an "unrealistic" dream sign I have is encountering tornadoes. Which I've done once in the waking world and countless many times in my dreams. You do not even necessarily need a dream sign like that per se. What you need, at least for me is, a commonality between your dreams and your waking life. Sounds to me like you've got a BIG one. You dream about your best friend 90% of the time? You must be close then right? Have you discussed lucid dreaming with them? Would they particularly mind you testing reality whenever they are around? Even barring that, it's not hard to surreptitiously do a reality check even in a crowded place. Finger through the hand isn't really conspicuous, my personal favorite, the pinch your nose and see if you can breathe one, is easily done by just briefly pinching your nose and pulling down as you sniff, much as if you had a slight cold you might naturally do.

Oh so you mean by doing those real-life reality checks, It will become a habit and I'll do them in my dreams too? If so, that is a great piece of advice and thanks for it
