Only partial lucidity, But I had to write it down nonetheless. Typically with my nightmares, I don't know I'm dreaming but they're extremely vivid and clear. Hopefully I can get some help understanding this one.
I was walking down the stairs of a house I didn't recognize, down into the basement. Although this basement was dark and a little bit eerie, the walls, doors, and floors were all ivory-white. I reached the bottom of the stairs and I had someone with me, a girl, although I can't remember specific details about her.
We began looking around, and I heard her say "This is a bathroom in here."
I Took a right hand turn at the bottom of the stairs and entered into a small passageway with high ceilings. Everything in this part was all white as well. There was a door to my left, and when I got closer, I felt a presence. Something was here, and it had been here alot longer than I had. Although this overwhelming sense of awe had overtaken me, I had to open the door, just to see.
I reached out with my right hand, touched the doorknob, and heard the click as I turned it. The intensity was both immediate and unexpected. The door flung itself open, and a deafening shriek filled the chamber. I turned on a dime, and attempted a flat out sprint toward the bathroom around the corner.
The door had already been shut, and I pressed myself against it, beating my fists, producing no sound. Then, I started drifting slowly upward, still pressed against the door. My chin was about parallel with the top of the doorframe. I tried to scream, but still, nothing could be heard but the windy howl of the nightmare around me.
