Lightbulb a way to notice your dream signs and do RCs!

i just realised that theres this possibly easy way to notice your dreamsigns when you see them in your dream! i dont know if this will work because i've still only had one LD so maybe a more advanced LDer could try it but here goes. there's this way to remember stuff in your every day life that i think would carry over to your dream state.
what you do is you picture yourself remembering to do the thing you wanted/needed to do. for example if you needed to remember to lock all the doors before you left home, you would picture yourself walking out the house and then remembering to lock the doors, so you double take and lock them. try it, it works, but really stop and picture it. you will find yourself walking out the house and then double taking, remembering to lock the doors.
another example would be what i did last night. i was lying in bed when i realised this but couldn't be bothered riting myself a note to post this so i pictured myself on dreamviews (because i knew i would come here today) and then remembering to make this thread. and here i am!
so i was thinking that you could do this also with your dreams! like you could picture yourself seeing a dreamsign and then remembering to do a RC. I have yet to test it because i dont know what my dreamsigns are yet, but if someone could give it a go and then post the results in this thread it would be so helpful f or ppl. thanks heaps! if you dont understand due to my bad explanation, leave a reply and i'll try to explain it better.

if you are talking about visulization, that's a quite common tech here. It's an important step in many LD techs' as well, check out tutorials for different DILD's and WILD's and you will see what i am talking about

Not necessarily. i read lots of tutorials and they didn't say anything about it. I probably missed some but still. Good job for finding it out. Doesn't matter who found it first. You should get as much credit.

      I'll try it

My dreamsigns are really unstable. They change a lot.

Over a period I might dream of something that keeps happening that can help me tell that I'm dreaming, and then an other period it's something completely different that can tell me I'm dreaming.

This is exactly what Laberge talks about when he describes MILD in his book. Prospective memory.

Have you tried using his MILD method? You imagine yourself in a dream you just had, only this time recognizing a dreamsign, doing a reality check, and becoming lucid. This way, you remember to do a reality check in your next dream.

Laberge classifies dreamsigns into four categories, I believe. The categories which appear most often in your dreams are your target dreamsigns. Mine seem to be form and context. But I do believe they can change over time...just as our personalities do.
