      dream journal ?'s

      1. often do you write in one
      2. for how long have you been writing (weeks, years etc.)

i'll start, for the first 6 months or so upon hearing about lucid dreaming
i wrote pretty extensively: numerous times PER night (i.e. writing/recounting several dreams) with what i would consider moderate success (LD's). but for the past 6 months or so i've been pretty lax - maybe once or twice a month (also i don't think i've had any Lucid Dreams in that time).....so there's my shpeal.

p.s. sorry if theres already a thread of this sort
p.p.s. i wasn't sure where this thread was supposed to go so....yea

I've been writing in my dream journal for a few months, on and off.

When I dwell on a dream long enough, I don't need to write it down to fully remember it. Other times the dreams are just uninteresting to me, and I hate writing down boring dreams.

I've always written down my lucids though.

I should write every morning. I'd say every other I write it down.

On and off for a year or so.

I've been writing on and off too, for like 4.5 months now.

I've bought a proper dream journal, though, so that should help

I write in my journal once a day, unless I wake up and just plain can't remember anything... which happens every now and then. If I get up early enough I immediately type it into my journal on the PC, otherwise I use a voice recorder and spill my guts while I'm getting ready for work, then type it up as soon as I get home.

I've been keeping my journal for about 7 months now.

I always write in mine, except from when I can't remember anything.

      Which usually happens

Anyway I've wrote in mine for just over a month.

Something I can actually hold. It's kind of a blank book. It's just something that I need to journal my dreams properly. Easy to look back, much more personal than online or in a copybook, I don't always have a computer at hand, I just like writing better for my dreams instead of typing and I can take it with me to school to work on it there. (My dream recall has been very good lately and takes quite a lot of time to write my dreams out )

Do you write out such details what DCs were wearing or what was around? It may bring unexpected results. For example, in one dream I was in prison and had to write an official letter to the prison's authorities. When I tried to remember details, I found out that the table was an actual table from my room , and I was writing on pink paper!

I write out every single thing I can remember. It took me about 20 minutes to describe a scene that happened in like 20 seconds. I also draw sometimes. A picture says more than a thousand words

If it's a boring dream I just write down the parts that stick out that I think are worth remembering.

I write down all of my LDs, every detail I can think of b/c something in my dream may mean something later on.

I try to write down as much as I can, every day.

Last night was a pain, I remember that I had a great, very long dream, but something startled me so I awoke really quickly and the whole dream was gone. I couldn't do anything about it, the memory was just too far away

i've been writing down my dreams since around May 2007 when I joined this board.

There were times when I stopped for a while, but I normally write once a day.
