My almost lucid experience

After a while the car changed. Well changed in the meaning that it wasn't looking the same at all. I remember that I was able toread the license plate even if it was so far away. I this point I was like "WTF?!? this can't happen in waking life, I must be dreaming" so i did both dream chekcs (the finger and the nose one) but both succseded. I mean I was unable to put my finger trough my hand or breath trough my nose. So I said "Ok, I must be awake...god dammit!". Anyway when I woke up after 5 minutes or so (my clock waked me so I can try WBTB method) I was schocked to see that I was in bad. I was so sure that the dream is real.

Well the problem here is that none of the dream checks worked. I feel so happy and so angry in the same time because I was closer to a lucid dream then ever but still I didn't succeded. Anyway, now what other dream checks shall I try, so they fail in my dreams? I can't think at any now.

PS: When I think back now everything was so strange, and what I can say for sure is that my last dream wasn't an ordinary one. For sure I'll remember it a while from now on. Everything had sense and was so clear...almost creepy :).

That's close to what I've experienced except that I have yet to use a reality to check to disprove a dream. I haven't once realized I was dreaming becuase of a reality check, I have always figured it out due to other events and then just confirmed it with a RC. I guess I always just trusted my intuition, but waited until I RC'd before I got happy about it. Never had an RC fail on me though...

The RC I use the most is "the hand not looking right"... my hands get a weird vibrating aura around them. It's very faint, but I only need a quick look as I'm only confirming what I already know... I'm dreaming. My advice would be, going forward, always trust your intuition. Although I do know that dreams aren't always in a nice logically sound world... but that's something you need to take into consideration.

"I think I'm dreaming, but what I'm experiencing says it's real. OK, So WHY do I think I'm dream?" .. .. .. Becuase you are!!! (or you're crazy :P)
