I've noticed that in most of my dreams, they come from the things that've happened to me over the last week or two instead of the previous day. In some cases, its even been about stuff from weeks ago. Is this normal for everyone or do most people mainly dream about stuff from their day?
Absolutely, this happens.
Your dreams aren't just affected by the past 24 hours, but memories in general. Anything that has ever happened to you may at one point show up in a dream.
To me, it seems like the stronger feelings show up in my dreams more often, my big decisions, the leaps and falls that happen every once in a while.

Yeah, my dreams come from whats generally happening in my life currently.
Gah my residue seems to be monthly if not YEARLY. At the moment I have a pretty regular routine (work from home) an occasionally see my mates get out an about when I want to so pretty much I have bugger all outside influence (well less than usual say if I were to go out to work everyday and see a million people).
This I thought would be a good thing to help maintain a critical awareness... But now its soo hard to pinpoint reoccuring dream themes its like my brains delving waaay back into memories years ago :( Quite hard to DILD neway. (BTW have tried inducing a person or theme and that doesnt work... hmmm!)
So yeah, I any residue is normal.. Depends on the person wether its weekly, monthly or yearly.
