      An obvious Dream Sign

Ok I felt really bad after I missed out on this opportunity. Well I was Dreaming about me bieng in a grocery store when I woke up in the middle of the night. I was really tired so I didnt bother to record my dream. Anyway I went back to sleep and then I had another dream but in this dream my friend told me that I should record the dream about me being in the supermarket down in my dream journal. And It should have been really obvious because when does my friend pop up in the middle of the night and tell me to record my previous dream. God has anyone missed out on an obvious opportunity!

Yes its quite common to, to miss out an opertunity like that. When in a dream the logic center of the brain is at lunch, and its very hard to be rasional. What i think must follow with every dreamsign/RC one does during the day, is including the feeling of the possiblity of you in the actual moment being in a dream. Without this ingredient a dreamsign/RC is hollow, it becomes just a habit one does to be lucid during dreaming. But as one can realize sooner or later, if one cant be lucid in waking life its hard to be it in the dreaming life.

This reminds me that just last night I dreamt that I was calling 911 to report a car accident, and at the end of the call they said "sorry, but you have to be over 18 to call 911" (I am in waking life). I don't remember even telling them my age, but believed that I WAS only like 17 in the dream. Doh.
But wow, yours was even more obvious!

ok, i had a Ratchet and Clank-based dream after i had played the game all day. well, the game is played in the third-person camera view, so i don't know why i didn't realize that i can't see in the third-person!

Just the other night I had a dream where I was carrying around my dream journal trying to remember the last dream I had. I even asked one of my friends to leave me alone for a little so I could think. I also had another a few nights before that where I told another friend that I didn't want to smoke pot because it would effect my recall. So, yes, it seems to be a quite common experience.

Everybody misses out on dreamsigns. It is quite common, so don't beat yourself up! I still miss a high percentage of mine, even after practicing for over a year now!

I used to have a LOT or third-pseron dreams... And I would only realise I was dreaming some of the time.

Yah, don't fret. I once went around telling other DCs to do RCs. Yah, I felt pretty stupid when I woke up. And as mentioned, a good majority of my dreams are in 3rd person, or actually an omniscient POV where I know what's going to happen because I think I've dreamed it before, even if I haven't. Imagine me being omniscient IRL...

ha, one time i had my boyfriend in my dream grab my face (gently of course) and tell me i was dreaming, and i said "na, i'm not" and he kept insisting i was. Then i went to touch his face and his eyes started to slant like asians. it was weird, but i still didn't realize i was dreaming. then anothe rdream i had that i was killing bad kittens cuz they had rabies or something. and i was stepping on their heads, the last kitten i killed, i looked down and it was my own! i started crying in my dream and i was saying "please tell me i'm dreaming, please tell me i'm dreaming" but my family looked at me with sympathy and said "i'm sorry, but you're not" and i couldn't wake up! then in reality my sister woke me up for school saying "arn't you going to get up" what ironic timing huh?

Talk about a cost-effective way of putting kittens to sleep.

Ha, those are nothing! I once woke up, to find a PINK MOON in the sky... with a huge smiley drawn on it... and I took it for granted, although at some point I started to question the possibility of such a thing (but then got distracted).

wow, weird, it sucks when such obvious signs are given to you, but you still don't go lucid. I guess the logical part of your brain is in such a deep sleep.
