      Need a little help

I kinda think i'm losing my attention for trying to lucid dream, i really want to but like it doesn't seem i'm as excited for it as before. When i started i really wanted to do anything just to start and from all that excitement i was managing to remember 3-4 dreams a night but i can't stay as physched for it anymore. Any tips for tring hard to remember dreams and gain control. I'm still logging everything and won't stop that. I know to say i will remember my dream before i sleep and convince myself that i will but i think its not working as well so any advice?

What was your main motivation for Lucid dreaming? There are many aspects to Lucid dreaming, some of that you may not be aware of.
It would be easier to answer your question if we new what make your clock tick

You know i'm not really sure, just the attraction of doing anything i wanted without consequences is probably what got me but theres so much you can do with lucid dreaming and so many interesting things about it.

This is one of the reasons I started the Lucid task of the month topic. To kind of kick start everyone's interest.

You are correct, there is so much you can do! I like to think of lucid dreaming as an adventure to a strange new land where you never know what lies in store for you. I can understand how you feel though. Once, I could not wait to fly! I did it in every lucid dream, but the novelty kind of wore off a little and now I walk most of the time. Don't get me wrong, I will fly sometimes because it's just fun.

Try exploring, try creating things, there is no way yo uwill ever be able to do everything.

Have you worked on any of the various induction methods? I know I worked for a long time on WILD, but it was worth it.

If you ned any idea's, I'm sure the folks around here can give you hundreds.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

I've never tried WILD i'll have to look into it though. I guess i should start different induction techniques that just prepare my mind to remember or wake up so i can write down my dream. I really need to find a way to keep myself focused for the goal of getting a lucid dream, i guess the wait for your first one to happen probably seems pretty long but i'm hoping it'll happen soon so it'll really jump start my drive for gettign good at lucid dreaming.

I think that exploring (HI) hynogogic imagery in itself can be an awesome expierance. And if you can follow HI into a lucid dream, better yet. And also more of a chance that you will begin at an already desired dream scene.

I guess is hould try that, the christmas break will be coming soon so i'll have enough time to take a nap and try it out. Maybe i could get good at that but it just seems tricky but practice makes perfect. How effective is the hypnotic imagery? and thats the one where you sleep for 5-5 hours stay awake and then lie in bed and concentrate on something with your eyes closed until you start getting strange vibrations and strange images correct?

Hynogogic imagery can happen at any time before the onset of sleep. Usually the closer you come to falling asleep the more vivid the images will become.
I personly have never expierianced the vibrations, just images & flashes of light that turn into more sureal images and thought.

I think, at least for me, the interest varies or goes in cycles. Some days I'm just too tired to bother with trying all this stuff, but then a few days later I'm all psyched to do it again.

I keep forgetting to try the Lucid Task of the Month, though. Gotta try to remember that next time.

don't feel bad, i found out about lucid dreaming last year in July, and i haven't been able to do it since i found out about it. It's like my mind knows i'll do something "destructive" if i get ahold of that kind of power lol. i've lucid dreamed lately, but the quality is very low. Like i know i'm dreaming, but i don't really do anything about it. I think my mind knows that if i get the chance to notice i'm dreaming, right away i'll try and contact the dead, or try shared lucid dreams with someone. and i don't think my soul thinks i'm ready for it. Even though i think i am. lololol i amuse myself
