no more dream journal

i have kept a dream journal for about 1 year and my recall is really good. I average about 4 or more dreams a night. so recently ive become lazy and kinda stopped dream journaling, and its been about 3 weeks and im still having about 4 dreams a night, i even had a lucid dream 2 nights ago. i do still write down the lucids and really whatever dream i really liked or thought was important so i was kinda thinking that if i just make sure i remember my dreams and take note of them in my mind when i wake up my recall isnt going anywhere. anybody else out there have a stellar recall and dont use a dream journal?

Its really good that you can remember four dreams a night, and especially if you can keep that up without use of a dream journal. I used to remember about the same amount and this continued for a little while when i stopped journaling...but then after about 2 months i sort of completely lost interest and my dream recall just disappeared completely. A lot of hardwork was lost! I think aslong as you journal once every couple of weeks and do makesure to keep a keen interest then you should be fine, but if you see your recall slipping then i would pick it up again, just to makesure you dont make the same mistake as i did!
