      I hate school...

I don't know what to do.... I can barely even remember my dreams while I am at school. When I was at home for spring break I had a LD which brought me back to these forums. I could remember dreams every single night when I was at home for break. Now that I'm back at school I can't do it.... There are too many distractions to WILD. Falling asleep is a hassle. Anyone else experience a problem like this? Have any solutions?

You could try going to bed earlier.

I know how you feel. I went through the same thing of having a hard time recalling anything and I blamed it on my school hours. I do fine now with dreaming.

How much sleep are you getting? Maybe you do just need more sleep. Or maybe you just need to relax more?

I know how you feel. That use to happen to me. Do you keep a DJ, and is it up to date? I ask because last month, I got very serious about updating daily, and before I knew it I was remembering dreams on school days. Going to bed earlier is also a great idea.

School and work have always done a number on both my recall and lucidity. It sucks big time. Every time midterms or finals roll around my recall tanks and what I do remember are nightmares about school.

For school I really don't recommend WILD except on the weekends or days off, because then you can sleep in if you need to. I highly recommend MILD if you have to go to school. All you need to do is go to bed a little earlier than usual and spend ten minutes or so on the MILD before you fall asleep.

Totally agree man D: On holidays I can usually recall 3-5 dreams at once every day and DEILD a good like 6 times if I can catch it. I've even gone to bed pretty early, making sure I atleast get 9 hours of sleep, but yet I still can't seem to manage. I think it's more stress than hours of sleep. MILD doesn't seem to work so hot with me, and usually when I WBTB I can't sleep again. I don't sleep long enough to DEILD, and DILDs don't happen so often. I don't know what to do :/

Same here dude, I've had shitty recall the past two days that I've had school. I'm going to try and make up for that tonight though.

When I was in school I had the same problems with recall and LDing. Then I started sleeping less at night, and taking long naps after school. My recall and LDs shot through the roof during these 3-4 hour after-school naps. And I'd wake up from my naps feeling much more refreshed than I would with a full 7-9 night's sleep.

i think its becasue of all the stress of school, when you wild its harder when you have stress most of the time.

I'm so glad that I got really interested in lucid dreaming pretty much straight after I graduated from school. Now I have had an abundance of long nights devoid of any stress. I hope this can last!

I guess the additional work, study hours, reading, and projects with deadline at school stresses you out. Ever thought about practicing relaxation techniques everyday? This might help you get a lucid dream even when you are at school. You cannot really have success with paranormal activities when you are stressed.

      Agreed that relaxation will help.

However, LDing and WILDing are scientifically proven phenomenon nowadays. So fortunately for us, they're no longer considered paranormal.

What are you talking about Naiya, they ARE considered paranormaly, but proven not to be lol

Anyway, has you tried going to sleep earlier, and wake up a little earlier so you get time to journal/take notes/record the dream?

I rarely LD in school days, I don't have much time to do a WBTB. So I say to myself that I'm gonna LD at the weekends, and I do. But that doesn't mean that I can't have LDs at school days, because I know that DILDs comes eventually.

I'm with you on this. Also I have to get up at 6 a.m. so I'm so distracted by the day's actions that I don't have time to think about dreams when I wake up. But I'm graduating this week so I won't have to worry about this anymore.

I dunno, maybe you could study in school rather than sleep and waste my tax money if you're going to a public school. Just an idea since school was a place to learn and not practice dreaming.
