      Trying to increase dream recall

My dream recall is pretty pitiful. I hardly ever remember dreams, and when I do, it is scattered, and only 1. I've been trying writing them down when I do, but if you see my dream journal, there are only two entries so far, and every other night I have not been able to remember any.
Any tips to help with my recall.

Here is a snippet from an ebook I keep I like on doing that.

You should get into the habit of asking yourself this question the moment you awaken: “What
      was I dreaming?”
Do this first or you’ll forget some or all of your dream, due to interference
from other thoughts. Don’t move from the position in which you awaken, as any body
movement may make your dream harder to remember.
Also, don’t think of the day’s concerns,
because this too can erase your dream recall. If you remember nothing,
      keep trying for several
minutes, without moving or thinking of anything else. Usually, pieces and fragments of the
dream will come to you. If you still can’t remember
any dream, you should ask yourself:
“What was I just thinking?” and “How was I just feeling?” Examining
      your thoughts and
feelings often can provide the necessary clues to allow you to retrieve the entire dream.
Just because you aren't paranoid. Don't mean they're not after you.

how long do you sleep everynight? the longer you sleep, the longer and more vivid your REM cycles become. sleeping too little can give you vague, short dreams that you are more likely to forget.

I get about 6-7 hours of sleep, completely wrong. I should be getting about 9, but I cannot get to bed that early.
I have read your tutorial, very nice by the way, but Trying those techniques (minus waking up in the midddle of the night, WBTB is out of the question right now) and Am having very little success.

Okay, well many problems that are affecting you now are the fact that you do not have enough time to concentrate on remembering dreams. Often during the week, I'm too stressed about school and I have to get up so fast that I do not have time to remember my dreams. Try to stay in bed for an additional 5 or so minutes so you can remember your dreams. Also, a dream journal is KEY for you to remember your dreams. Just thoroughly write in it every day and you will start to remember lots of dreams. That includes feelings, emotions, and just vauge whisps of memories you have from the night before.
