Help with Dream Recall & multiple LDs

I was fortunate enough to have a LD last about an 1 hour an 1/2 this morning due to the fact that I did reality checks and caught on to all the false awakenings.

I have pretty good recall when I LD and wake up immediately. But in this case.. I did't wake up after one LD ended, I had a false awakening, did a reality check, spun and then went right into another LD. This happened about 5 times. I can remember the first LD and parts of the last.. but everything in between is pretty much gone.

A long LD is wonderful but not if you can't remember most of it when you wake up.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to improve dream recall during long or multiple LDs?

      Thanks so much!

I too have the same problem.
Every dream that proceeds the next becomes more opaque.
The only thing I can tell you is to try and lay still as you wake up. Take the steps you would naturally take for dream recall and try and trace your steps back. Hoping to conjur up an image or thought of one of the earlier dreams or the beginning of a long lucid dream.
I thinks this is a problem for all dreamers. I would like to here some better advice than my own if anyone has ideas.

You have to build a base my friend, this is one of the many reasons I started over with my Lucid dreaming. I've been able to LD all my life and remeber alot of the dreams but not all the details I would like. I suggest building your way up starting with a dream journal. Its a royal pain in the ass however it worked wonders for me. At first I was only recording about 2-3 dreams a night, after putting a little more effort into it and taking the time to write my dreams out each time I awoke throught the night my dream recall sky rocketed. Now I record around 10-12 dreams a night. .

A dream journal also offers numerous other benefits, you can look over previous dreams and identify common dream signs/trends which makes it alot easier to attain lucidity. Gotta know where ya been to know where your goin. I'd especially write as much as possible on the Lucid Dreams you do have as soon as you awaken from them, paying close attention to feelings that your experienced. For me gaining, keeping, and remebering lucidity is more of a general awarness then a specific RT or dream sign. By recording these things you know what to look for in the future and dream recall will get better with time at least that was the case for me....
