Thread: DCs Say the Darndest Things

A guy started to sing to me, in my dream, "Little girl, put on a little dress, put on a little dress! "Little girl, put on a little dress!!"

A dream character and Follow detective in the TOTY dreams said to me about a working case, "Go home, get some rest and let someone else get some of the glory!" I sighed and then I went home. I was shot in my own home by someone that I use to know, in the dream right before I became lucid.

TOTY DC: Blackbeard reminded me of Jim Cummings's Tigger. When I gave him the diamond, he was like, "Ahoy! I dunno wha' t' say!! I've gota bad rap. No one ne'er did this fer me but, I can nah loot it. ye 'ave it."

After I accidentally ran over my dream character's foot and after he stopped screaming in sheer pain for a half hour. He said quote, *dopped up* "Nothing says I love you like, Honey! Sorry I ran over your foot with the Go-kart! Like a Hallmark card."

I was in a diner and the cook was playing dominos on the greasy flat top. He also had spaghetti hanging out of his apron.

Suddenly after laying one tile down he loudly proclaims, "It's an excellent day when a man gets a strike in his own kitchen!"

I don't think my subconscious knows how dominos work.

I was a spectator watching Sam and Dean from Supernatural plant plants for residents of a vacation town built around a lake. After around 30 monotonous minutes of watching this, Kenan Thompson looks up at "the camera" and says "Preorder now on... Saturday! Night! Live!"

I haven't watched SNL since high school. Really makes you wonder where this stuff comes from.

Spoiler for Avengers: Infinity War/Endgame Spoiler:

Me and a bunch of other people come back from collecting the Infinity Stones. Two of them left to get the Soul Stone, but only one of them came back.

Me: "Did you have to sacrifice her to get the stone?"
Him: "No, the guy told me I could have it if I did a complex third-order derivative solving for multiple variables. I figured it was easier to kill my friend and threaten to do the same thing to him unless he handed it over."

Just a few minutes ago;
"If you wanted to tease me, you should have drunk my fat"
I literally have no clue what that meant, but I overheard it in a gym right before I woke up lmao.

A little bit of a dream that I had last night.

I remember that my sister's dog, Zoe was there, she came over and rubbed against me like to say, "Are you okay?" I remember I pushed her away because she smelt like a wet dog even though I was already soaked to the bone. The dog spoke in the dream, "Do you think wet humans smell any different? Does it matter? There will be other people out there. Don't be sad!" I was totally caught off guard by the comment that it woke me up.

This dream was about letting go, New beginnings and yes, having a Piña colada hangover and in the pouring rain.

Non-Lucid: I had a dream that I was watching tv and Christopher Walken was selling some women shaving cream. It felt like an old 1950 commercial.
One woman dream character in the commercial: "Oh no, Suey didn't finish her homework!! What should she do!!"
Christopher Walken: "When in doubt, shave your legs!!"

All of sudden, I had the urge to go and get up and shave my legs.

Talking to a DC for a long time, then suddenly he turns to me.
"oh, we have company."
I wake up as my son opens the door to my room.

The dream started as I was on a boat for my birthday party. For some reason, I was late for my own birthday party but, I'm not sure why? There was a lot of yellow, red and pink confetti everywhere. People singing happy birthday to me. I could smell a sweet smell of ice cream.
I remember the room was crowded. I remember standing between tables and chairs. I could hear that there were a lot of people talking but, I couldn't make out what people were saying, in the dream. I couldn't see their faces, either. It was a little foggy. Yet, it was bright in the dream.
The only people that I could recognize was Cassie and three other people. Cassie was about 6, in the dream.
There was a Karaoke machine and Cassie wanted to sing her favorite song that we would apparently, sing together when I'm with her. I recall that she had a little trouble at first.
My instinct was to go over grab a mic and kneel to her eye level. I remember that the song was an old country song. I was going to help her with the song but, all of a sudden, she started singing the song wrong.
"Oh! I'm dying!! Oh, I'm dyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyying!!" Then she stopped and started telling everyone how when I have her for the weekend, we would just make up words for the song.
I felt my face turn bright red. I was embarrassed a little. However, I knew that she means well.
With that, I scooped her up and hugged her. "Oh, peanut!" I felt the love though in the dream.

One of my first lucid dreams I asked a DC for directions to which they replied, "When the quarter back throws you the ball you decide what to do with it?" Somehow this advice felt so profound.

Non-Lucid. I had a dream that I was going through some doors in some futuristic airport. I was surrounded by my-other-selves that were trying to kill me. Spellbee2 or someone that looks like Spellbee was there. (From a picture that I saw of him? I think) Maybe your future- self.
He gave me some adopter thing and told me, "Use this and it will stop them in their tracks." He yelled, "Hurry!! Run!!"
Then one of my clones attacked him. As I watch in horror. Then I ran.
It was like I was in an alt-universe and some of my other selves were trying to kill me because I was stopping them from doing what they want to do and the fact I was the version of myself that was happy? I felt like I was way over my head, in the dream.

I was heating up some tomato soup. I poured it into a bowl and sat down at a table. My wife suddenly appeared from no where

"No!! - The soup is mine!"

and she grabbed the bowl and left.....

Dream fragment from last night (I have this odd dream sign of bathrooms with no privacy):
I was sitting on the toilet in my bathroom, idly thinking about how grateful I was for the lock on the bathroom door so that no one would walk in by mistake. Suddenly, the door came clean off its hinges and crashed violently into the counter. A random woman with a toolbox was standing there. We stared at each other for several seconds in apparent mutual shock, then I scrambled to get my shorts back on and asked what she was doing there. She said, "I'm here to make sure that everything is working as it should be." I said, "Oh, okay." Because that sounded like a perfectly reasonable explanation


Also found this old gem in my records:
I found a bottle of glue. Where the warning label usually goes it read, "Edible for children ages 3 and up. Keep within reach of the whole family! Do not ingest more than 12 fl. oz. per day." So I ate some.

I was at a party in my dream and someone asked me to tell them the time when I came to a party as the invisible dreamer?? She was referring to some of the Lucid dreams that I had back in 2002 where I was in college, I went one of those Frat parties.

Dream about going to Walmart with my friend, and read off my list.
At this point, in the dream, it was hot and I felt sore all over, in the store and I was very tired. It was at the end of the day. All I really wanted was to go home. We were standing in the middle of the store.
I read our shopping list out loud, I got to the words, *Tea for my sister, (Insert my sister's real name here).*
My friend must have misheard what I said, and said, "I don't want to buy Pee for, (Insert my sister's name here)!! She has her own pee!!"
She said it loud enough so the whole store could hear it. Of course, having a mask on in the dream, made it hard for her to understand me in the dream?
I recall that I felt embarrassed in the dream, I feel my face turn bright red.
"No!! Tea!! TEA, NOT PEE!", I growled.
This hint of frustration bubbling up from within. I was trying hard not to lose my temper. I could feel people's stars.

There was a boy that wanted to do something pretty gross with me in-dream, so I asked Riku from Kingdom Hearts (one of my dream guides atm) to deal with this boy. Riku comes over and says in a completely calm (and pleasant!) demeanour: "you should go and see Mickey, it'd be good for you". That was Riku's way of basically saying 'you have problems and you need counselling'; basically telling the boy to go to King Mickey for the roasting

Me: "Everybody calls me <nickname>, nobody calls me <full first name>, except my mother when she's angry with me"
Mother comes from off-stage and pokes her head into the scene: "Bullshit!"

Somebody (later): "what size are your jeans?"
Me: "128K, BABY!!"

Me: This is a beautiful lucid dream
Mother: You know you are dreaming???
Me: Yeah of course!

Pool, my boss in the dream, made us write a writing exercise because I was late for a meeting. If one person was late for the meeting, that everyone else has to get punished.
So the writing thing was clear in the dream. The number roman numeral two showed up a lot in the writing. I could read what she was writing. She was writing on the board that was in front of her from bottom to top and from right from left. The example about loving her pet rabbits. Hey I'm dreaming!!
Then when she was done, instead of erasing it like a normal human being, she set the whole board on fire.
I thought to myself, I guess this mean that we are all fired?

I was falling from the sky in the dream. Before I hit the ground I saw someone that in real life, did not like me very much. She moved out of the way and I land with a thud. She then told me that she didn't want to catch a bug?

In a non-lucid, I said to myself, "Time to brush my teeth!" and reached in my mouth, removing all of my teeth as a set including my lower jaw. Then I grabbed a toothbrush and brushed my teeth, thinking about how much more convenient it was when my cheeks weren't in the way. Next, I turned to a random orthodontist who was standing there in the bathroom. "Does this look normal to you?" I asked, pointing to the set of teeth in my hands.

The orthodontist shook his head sadly. "You're going to need braces again..."

We’re protesting with a bunch of people for some reason I don’t remember, when a guy stands in the middle of the group with a microphone, and asks us to shout it loud the Spanish translation of “The people united will never be defeated!”. I fail to shout together with the other guys, for some reason I wasn’t able to remember the words. The guy notices it and asks the group to practice in groups, “first the ladies” he says, all girls yell the words with no problem, then a Quechua speaking kid who is clearly alone in the group is asked to scream alone. He shouts some unintelligible words that apparently were supposed to be Quechua. Everybody “Yeah! That’s it!” The microphone guy asks him to do it again, more scratch words that the rest of the people celebrate like he was doing his best.
Woke up after that to realize my alarm clock was off
