      It's feeding time! On the menu today is none other than the ever-popular frozen brine shrimp.



      Alpha male "Riley" bravely takes the first nibble.


      His friends shove in on the goods.


      The big female swoops in during the scramble for the last fairy shrimp!

      All fish will eat out of my hand except my plecostomus, and the youngin's (which I have yet to take a good picture of). I just culled a bunch of them today (by donating them to the local pet store) because a few inherited an ugly wild swordtail gene off of their store-bought black grandmother, and a couple others inherited a fatal solid-black fin gene (also from the grandmother's horrible mixed genes. I'd order a black clear fin online, but I was too cheap for that!).

      Actually, not sure if snow was born deaf, i assume so. We found him chasing cars at a school bus stop about 5 years ago or so, no one claimed him so we took him in.
