oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that! Maybe it was her heart. Often times when pets die suddenly, and they've been asymptomatic up until that point, the cause of death is usually heart disease.

I'm sorry for your loss, NeAvO

Remember the two cats I mentioned before who had fleas? Well, the fleas got the best of the white one, and made him mutilate himself and break down. It was terrible - Febus was ripping out fur, bleeding all over our beds, and peeing on the floor. We had to put him down; it wasn't even my cat and it was heartbreaking. He was the king of the household. The saddest thing is, it could've been prevented, but my mom had refused to pay the $40 for the Advantage.

Fortunately, after seeing the torment it put us through seeing our first pet death, our mom took Charlotte (the tabby) to the vet. Charlotte was also losing fur, and she was incredibly skinny. The vet said she was having an allergic reaction to the fleas, and gave her a cortazone shot. She also gave us aforementioned Advantage and de-worming pills (which was the reason for her skinniness). Within a week, Charlotte's fur returned to normal and she gained all her weight back. She's now the same cat she always used to be (and much chattier, I think).

      May Febus rest in peace.

Nice photo, CoLd BlooDed. I'm very sorry to hear that he was put to sleep over something so easily treated. It's extremely saddening. What a miserable way to have to go. I'm glad Charlotte has been treated and is doing well.

Thanks for your concern. It was a miserable way to go, but I think he's happier now. I wasn't there personally for his 'treatment', but my sisters had an interesting story to tell. They said he was making quite the fuss in the car and in the vet, but as soon as they opened the door and he saw the table, he started purring like he knew what was about to happen. He went very calmly.

Wow, a month later and I still get teary when I think about it.

Anyways, yes, Charlotte is doing well! So well I've decided to throw in some snazzy pictures.

Charlotte is beautiful! She's what we call a "torbie" (part tabby, part tortie/tortishell). Good pics!

I'll relay the message. Oh, and one of my neighbours has over EIGHTY cats. No joke whatsoever. They're all over the place, it's incredible.

A torbie, hmm? I like the sounds of that.

I think she is especially beautiful considering she's 13 years old! I've seen cats that are younger and are matted and ugly. I'm lucky, and so is she, haha.

And thank you, but my pictures are nowhere near as entertaining as yours (or others). I mean, Charlotte and Febus never hugged like Cloud and Titus do.

Thanks guys, makes me proud to own this self-proclaimed princess of mine.

CB, those are great pictures of Charlotte. I love the way her eyes look in the first picture. So green and bright.

And what you said about Febus brought tears to my eyes too. Partly because I was with my dog when we had to put her to sleep. Amber was the most wonderful dog--there couldn't have been a more loved dog than she was. She was my first childhood dog and was just like a family member. But she got so old and blind and deaf, that she kept getting hurt. I held her until she took her last breath.

And now my favorite cat (that I posted pictures of earlier--the diluted tortie) has been missing for two weeks and I am now finally trying to accept that she won't be coming back.

But I do still have my kitten who has grown into a beautiful cat. She is a very happy loving cat. And I love her even though she likes to suck on my blanket and make it all wet.

Anyway CB, I'm sorry you've had to deal with the loss of your cat.

(And pet Charlotte for me, would you? )

I hope this works, I've just registered with Imageshack.

This bundle of love is my "Pickle" (yes that's her name).

It used to actually be an affectionate name for me by my parents yet I felt "Pickle" worked wonderfully.

Lezen, I have a cat that is your cat's twin, except a little fatter. And he is evil too. Ten years old and not slowing down a bit.

I have a four year old west highland white terrier named Rielly, its a girl. It was really cool as a puppy but has slowly lost its charm on me as its aged. It always sleeps on my bed so the blanket smells like dog, its not my favorite dog ever, but its not bad either.

I have two cats, both adopted. Here they are:

First, this is Olivia. She's the first cat we got. She's kinda friendly, but she likes being near people, like in the corner of the room if I'm watching TV for example, but she walks away if you go closer. So far I've taught her to sit and shake hands on command. She's gotten really fat lately...

This is Twiggy. We picked her up last year, and she was tiny. It's been a while since then, so we don't think she's gonna grow much more, she's just a runt. She purrs really loudly, and rolls over as soon as you pet her... And then starts biting your hand. Which hurts.

She doesn't really make much noise, and when she wants someone to open the door that leads upstairs, for example, she makes this really funny squeaking noise in place of meowing. Because her bell makes more noise than her, my dad sometimes calls her "Tinkerbell".

Some more pictures of her inside bags:

I can't help but laugh whenever I see the last one. Her expression is priceless. XD

Those are really cute cats, Cutterkk, and good photography. In the first one of Twiggy, there appears to be a litterbox levitating over her back.
