I'm glad I'm not too late to jump on board, because I like new concepts and ideas I haven't explored before, and I have yet to deal with ANY kind of Yoga, let alone dream Yoga, so this sounds like an interesting experience that could put me over the bar of where I would like to be. I am a 19 year old male from Florida.(starting to sound like an add from a dating website. lmao) I was raised in a religiously strict household that had NO tolerance for deviation from the norm of any kind. Unbeknownst to my parents and family, a few years ago I began to tire of mundane average life and bible thinking and began to realize that there had to be much more to God and spirituality than a re-translated book from thousands of years ago. This lead me on a personal journey to open my third eye, access spiritual faculties, and learn about myself. I hope to not only gain more control of my mind, but also to utilize my third eye for visions and even spirit communication. Were my parents to find this out, I would be crucified.(pun DEFINITELY intended) lol Over the years, it seems as if I have done very little of what I hoped, but I have constantly been assimilating knowledge of all varieties. From psychological facts about the human psyche to esoteric knowledge of orders and temples looking for something that could assist me in opening up my mind and realizing my goals. I'm really looking forward to trying this and think this may be just what I needed. Thank you for the oppertunity.

Great! As long as you are patient and realize this stuff can take a very long time to develop, it can lead you to self-discover all the things you are after. If you start a notebook and your questions are somewhat on topic for the lesson, then I will tell you all sorts of things your parents may be very upset about

I'm glad I'm not too late, either. How to introduce myself? Hmm... So much that I can say, but I'll try to paint a picture.

I'm 18, almost 19, and I live in Ontario (a province of Canada). I'm a Type-A personality, high-strung, stressed individual with perfectionism tendencies. I'm jittery and find it very hard to relax, which is affecting my dream life (and personal life, although that's another kettle of fish). I've been interested in lucid dreaming for almost half my life, but being unable to focus steadily has had a negative impact, for sure. I am so easily distracted in my thoughts that on the rare occasion that I become lucid, I can't maintain focus and the dream either falls apart, or I wake up.

I was skimming the first lesson, and I thought, "This seems perfect for me."

I grew up (and am still growing up in) a high-stress, strict, emotionally abusive household with little tolerance for "weird" things. The fact that I enjoy lucid dreaming almost crosses that line... Almost, except that it's a psychologically explored topic, and I'm studying psychology, so that's "okay."

My hobbies include reading, writing, baking, and learning. I love the fantastical (I read fantasy, science-fiction, and supernatural genres) and want to be able to explore the endless possibilities that the dream world opens up. Oh, and I am deeply interested in language and psychology.

I'm interested in visualization and semi-curious about a lot of other things (although I'm a bit hesitant on my views because of my religious preferences).

I guess I should begin at the first lesson, then, and work my way from there? Is there a suggested time frame for practising before moving on to the next lesson?

Hi. I would suggest no less then 3 weeks on any one lesson. You can practice more than 1 at a time though, if you have time.

I welcome all Christians and anyone of any other faith. All of the lessons can be learned without crossing a religious line. Those who choose to try and discover deeper mystical things will have my guidence, but the class in general will not cross any questionable lines.

I'd like to take this course, too!

Anyway, about me, I'm 16 years old, turning 17 on Saturday. I've been trying to lucid dream for a few weeks or so now. I've never heard of dream yoga before, but it sounds really interesting, and I think it might help me to LD. Even if it doesn't, it still sounds like an interesting experience that I'd really enjoy. I'm looking forward to doing these lessons!

Great, you are welcome to join. It will help you master dream control when you are lucid. It will teach very usefull tricks for getting lucid when WILDing. And you will expand your own awareness, which makes it much easier to get lucid. Have fun.

I think I am going to start this one. I have been interested in this topic for a while. I have had sleep paralysis episodes all my life and they used to frighten and confuse me. I never knew what was happening until I found Dream Views. I have learned to let myself go and use this to WILD. During these times I have experienced what would appear to be OBEs. I am unsure if OBEs are possible or just dreams. I would love to be able to induce SP more frequently and increase my over all dream recall, vividness, and lucidity. I am interested in self exploration and personal growth through dreams and finding a dream guide.

I like the fact that you addressed the religion aspect. I was raised christian and I still hold to those beliefs (for the most part) so I think anything too religious here would turn me off. Though, I do understand that many religions practice these same techniques and I'm cool with that. I am open to other religious beliefs and you will not find me arguing over that.

By the way I am a 32 year old male with a 10 year old and a 6 year old daughter. I've been divorced and remarried and now I have a son on the way. I have been around DV for several years but I have had a hard time staying with it. I have pretty much been off and on with my lucid practices. Things like stress and life changes and difficulties have caused me to put LDing aside many times. This time I want to say with it and get better at becoming lucid and exploring the dream world in general. I tend to entertain the idea that dreaming is preparation for the afterlife.

Right now I am finishing up the Intro class but I would like to couple this class with the WILD class. I think the two complement each other nicely. Thanks! I am looking forward to this.

Great! This stuff will also help you in general life issues like stress. I can eventually lead good students all the way to getting their first dream guide. I will be keeping most mystery type topics in clearly mark threads, so you can take part in all the basic and intermediate topics, and then just choose the advanced topics that fit your own religious leanings and avoid any others. Hope you have fun, it is really exciting stuff.
You have been lurking around this sight even longer than me! Cool.

Hey I would love to join this, I have been looking into this class for a while and decided I want to participate. I'm a 17 male, from England and started reading up and practising for lucid dreaming about three weeks ago and since I've managed to have one lucid dream which was awesome. Since then I've stepped up my game and decided to be more devoted and a lot more determined. Currently on my summer holidays so spare time is not an issue, I hope to improve on my general dream control and visualization skills. I also hope that this will help me with my stress. I'm not religious or spiritual in anyway, but I'm always open for ideas.

Great, you are welcome on board! The religious or spirit stuff is getting left out until 'select topics' which are optional. The nice thing is you will be able to truely train for LDing while awake, and learn some high end meditations which are usefully in daily life. Have fun, take you time. I am guessing it will take most students about a year to complete and have a strong grasp on the skills.

Perfect. I copied all the lessons (plus the intro) into a Google doc file that I sent to my tablet as a PDF. I'll catch up with all that by the weekend, and do all the requirements by Monday. Thanks!

Sure thing. It is kind of a go at your own pace class. Plan on it taking months. Do not push to hard, enjoy the process. Just start a workbook and begin on a basic skill.

My name is Starlia and I ran into one of your lessons on a tutorial. I was most impressed and it caused me to be fascinated enough to join this course. I'm a newbie so still learning everything but one thing I would like to learn about is dream guides. I think my brother might be one hmm. Also could this Dream Yoga be a benefit to mental health such as majour depression? I'm also a natural Lucid dreamer I think so I grasp subjects quickly.

Hey, my name is Coelhao. I am 23 and currently live in Kansas doing conservation work. I love yoga, at least the common western concept of yoga, as well as meditation, lucid dreaming ect. I bought Laberge's book about 3 years ago and have read it twice since then. I have also read "the tibetan yogas of dream and sleep". I have tried to take lucid dreaming seriously several times, and have had my best luck in the past 6 months since I found DV. I hope to really improve my lucid dreaming skills, or at least get a lot more out of my waking life by practicing the exercises in this class. Time to get started I guess!

Sure! The training will help you get lucid, and only the advanced skill (yet to come) require that you be lucid. Just start on the basic lessons and make a note book.

Hope I can still take this course although I'm quite late I'm not a very experienced lucid dreamer... Not even an okay one, but I'd like to try!

Sure, you are welcome to join! Just start a workbook and pick one of the basic skills to try. The course is designed for each person to go at their own pace. It may take a year or so to complete, so do not rush. you can even spend a few months between some of the lessons. It is very challenging, but well worth it. Have fun!

My name is Moki! aka SzuruDusk, I'm 19- and from Arizona. (A desert wasteland.) And I'm intent on exploring my dream universe to find some answers. I want to give myself a good structure to start my learning on and this sounds perfect!
Lately, I've been upping my general awareness and so far it really hasn't carried into my dreams. I realize it's a balance act between memory, awareness, and realization of the state of reality... but also of patience, I understand.
I hope your classes not only work my awareness muscle but maybe some of those other things. Thank you for these classes, sivason.
