I'm interested in doing this, count me in and so the journey begins

Hey I'm Alex, I'm 22 and live in New Zealand. I'm new to meditation and really want to increase my awareness to the world around me. I've been feeling too often that sense of being aware that I'm unaware and want to wake up to the world around me - both in dreams and real life.

I'll be starting the yoga book today and posting my results later on

Hi there, just start with the posted lessons and read the material. It may take some time for me to get back to you if you have questions. You simply start a thread in the course sub-forum with your name and the word yoga as part of the title. You can then comment, question, or diary your experiences there. It can be very helpful to read the work books of others. This is supposed to be smoething to work on over a year or more, so be patient if I do not respond. I try to eventually get to every one who has questions. If you do have a question that is holding up your progress, feel free to send me a P.M. asking me to look at your work book.

      Smile Interested in Dream Yoga

Hi, I am a 22 year old female who grew up in New York State, USA. I've used to do astral projecting in the past and now I'm wanting to try lucid dreaming. I have been interested in it for a while and I think dream yoga will be a good way in boosting my chances of lucidity and also ease stress.

Hello, I am a 32 year old man child from the UK. I arrived here after googling Dream Yoga. I read 'Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming' by Stephen LaBerge last year and have had substantially more LD's as a result. However my 'balance' while lucid seems to have gotten worse... Sounds like I have come to the right place.

Thank you for still being here, 4 years in and still helping

I've been very interested in this course as well. As a meditator of rougly 10 years or so, I've really been looking to add a dream practice in as I don't alays have as much time as I'd like to meditate. I have practiced LDing quite a bit in the past and really loved it. Additionally, I'm very interested in the eastern religions, and have recently finished The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep. Learning about the spiritual aspects of LDs has always given me a extra motivation to keep going as it enriches my life. I haven't learned too much about how chakras relate to LDing, so I'd love to learn this through the course - as well as meeting dream guide, learning lessons, etc. At the moment I'm brushing up on recall etc. after a hiatus, but hope to learn from you soon sivason!

Hello! I'm Alejandro, 23 yr old male from Chicago. I've been practicing yogasana about 6 years now and am not far from completing my first 200hr TT course. I love the idea of using the dream state in a spiritual practice. I have read LaBerge, Dreaming Yourself Awake, and the Tibetan Yogas of Sleep and Dreams. I'd really like a structured step by step approach so I hope to learn a lot here!

      Hi sivason :-)
This is a fascinating course that I'm so lucky to have found!
I'm 19 years old, just finished school and about to start studying physics in Germany. I've started lucid dreaming almost half a year ago and read about a dozen books on that topic since then (including "The Tibetan Yoga Of Dream And Sleep"). For about a year I have found a big interest in buddhism as well and read a handful of books about it's philosophy. I also try to meditate every day. I have tried practicing ADA but have found a lot more success with reality checks and auto-suggestion. Dream yoga has fascinated me ever since I've first heard of it, but unfortunately it's really hard to truly understand it. That's why I'm looking forward to this course because sivason seems like a very experienced and promising teacher!

You said the word "discipline" recently. That's a virtue I have not been nurturing enough recently. I think I have read all your lessons in the past but today, I think it's time to add discipline to my dream practice.

I am interested in trying this. I'm a 38 yo female in upstate NY. I started having LDs as a teenager and then didn't focus on dreams for many years. Recently, I started having them again out of the blue and it coincided with an increase in mental visualizations and attention to my sensory perceptions.

Hi, I am 32 years old male and I want to commit to this course with all my heart and mind. I am finding playful objects of the world less and less entertaining and exploring myself (mind) more.

Hi good wishes to all. I first heard about the ability to control dreams and the benefits that came with it along with polyphasic sleep schedules and other things when i was 16 but never seriously pursued it, i am now 21 about to be 22 and want to seriously pursue gaining this ability. I first experienced a glipse into this world when i came across a picture explaining how to walk myself into a dream by staying completely still and ignoring all sensations arising in the body while letting these shadow form under my eyelids. The first few times i was snoaring after 10 min, but just before i was about to give up i was successful for a brief second, i was laying still then i seen a airplane fly across my eyelids along with what it would sound like. I got so excited and woke up. Im looking forward to whats to come.

Thank you for taking the time to create and post this course. I am looking forward to learning your insights on dream yoga.

Sometime in the late 70's or early 80's, I became interested in Eckankar, and went to a couple of their public sessions. Around that time, I had one of the most incredible dreams I have ever had. In the dream (I was not lucid), I was in a cave, and there were approximately six beings that I am only able to describe as looking like masters from some Eastern religion. They were all chanting, and that chanting was most incredible. I do not remember what the chant was. Perhaps a year or so later, I went to another public Eckankar session, and in their workshop, they had pictures of people that they claim are masters. I recognized one of them as one of the beings in my dream. They call him Lao Tze, however, I have come to understand that it was Lao Tsu.

Don't worry! I joined Eckankar a few years back, however, I was strongly put off by the fact that many of their first and second year lessons had content that demeaned other religions. For me, I do not think it was the best example of a spiritual practice, especially since it seemed to rely on demeaning others in light of a passage from one of their books that said something along the lines of "who are we to judge the path that others take to God whatever that path may be." So, I did not continue with Eckankar.

I am a 61 year old male and became interested in things spiritual when I was about 17 or so and have been pursuing them ever since. I was born and raised in New York State.

Hey Sivason, thank you very much for creating this class.

I haven't yet started practicing the skills, but as a beginner I want to learn the skills required for LDing from a bottom->up approach, so the fundamentals, and although I have browsed DV for days and analyzed many threads, your information i havent found anywhere else, and these are gems. For example the Shock Resistance resonated greatly with me, because my LDs so far collapsed quickly when I got lucid, but also the other skills sound great, and i appreaciate that you took the time and effort to educate those willing about those valuable fundamentals.

      Have great Dreams!

      * And of course count me in , I started practicing the basic skills + shock resistance today, will update probably in my main -(progress) workbook (link below). Or is it better to make a separated workbook?

You can do al your stuff in the one workbook. I hope this stuff is useful and helps you get lots of lucid dreams. It is all kind of interesting outside of lucid dreaming too.

Hi. The course sounds amazing and just the thing I was looking for. I'm a 27 years old male from the eastern part of Germany. I've been interested in spirituality (meditation, lucid dreaming) for about a decade now. Concerning lucid dreaming it's been an on and off relationship for a long time really. There has been many phases where I practiced and experimented with techniques intensively but never got to a point where I could have lucid dreams whenever I want. For about 3 years I've been meditating on a daily basis and have read a couple of books about buddhist philosophy which eventually got me interested in yoga of dream and sleep. And here I stumbled across your course. You can count me in!
