This is my workbook for the class. I will post my dreams and any other requirements here. Unfortunately I have been sick so I have not been very successful with my reacall lately

okay thanks for the help now I understand. So last night I wanted to try all the do's from the first class, so I felt happy last night before I fell asleep. But unfortunately I instantly fell asleep without much of a lucid thought (very tired probably because of lack of sleep and medication) I have recalled two long dreams which one was more long and vivid then the last. I don't remember waking up after the first. after the second I felt quite normal (not unhappy). So:
My first dream was in a huge dam where the people in my school (i'm 15) were on massive inflated boats. There was food all around and I was eating as much as possible. I remember two girls being on the same 'jumping castle shaped boat' as me. The boat capsized and I landed in the water and swam to the shore. Then I swam back to the boat which was alright again. On the way there I met my best friend Jono and we swam to the boat and ate more food(dream seemed longer than it sounds).
Dream 2:
This dream really caught my interest in both waking and dreaming state. There was a battle of the bands in my school hall. I was last to perform, and I was in a band with a girl I have never met in waking (she really did have some unique effect on me since she was always talking and everywhere I went) she and I were both going to be singing a song. These 3 guys from my school said they would play guitar with us to make the atmosphere more exciting. I took like 5 minutes to contemplate whether I was going to play guitar or not(since I am an absolute beginner) I finally decided that I would play and I went with the girl to fetch our guitars at the bottom of the stage. I took out my guitar and pick and she took hers and we walked back to the stage. We plugged our guitars in the amp and started to play. We were singing the lyrics from a book in front of us. I decided to play a riff over and over because I didn't know how to play the song. She only played guitar for the first two lines then she stopped and only sang the song (while playing guitar). It was only at that time I realised the other guys who said they would play guitar were not playing. The song was one which i'm sure I know but while playing it I knew the lyrics were off. Except for the chorus. When we finished I felt sure we were going to win the competition (although I knew I didn't play well) the judge came up and told everyone who won: it was my best friend Jono's band (he had a really cool bandname although he doesn't have a band in real life) I felt really jealous and angry but when I looked around the random girl was just looking at me smiling, and then the dream ended.

Whilst writing this I recalled a third dream. I walked down to my friend Joey's house from school. I asked him if he had an interest in lucid dreaming since I told him about it. He said 'not really' but when I told him my other friend Jono started it he Was interested again and wanted to start. Then the dream ended.
So three dreams which were quite realistic. All with my friend Jono and one with the mistery dream girl.

Thanks PercyLucid. So just now I typed for 30 minutes my 3 dreams and it got lost in cyber space. So i'm going to have to find another time to type it all out again:(

Okay I never lost it. It is the 3rd post of this thread. And the night before the last I was really sick so I never used a mantra and I recalled no dreams. Last night same I was too sick but I recalled 1 dream. Which I would rather not post. So when i'm better I will try the mantra 'the next time I dream I will do a reality check and become lucid' is it too long and does anybody have any shorter suggestions? Thanks

That mantra is too long. Use, "I lucid dream" at night. During use, "Tonight or very soon I will have a lucid dream"

Well this hasn't been going well. I have been sick the whole course so I have been literally praying to fall asleep (so no meditation/mantra) and I have been too tired to always say my mantra during the day. But today i'm a little better so i'm using the day mantra 'i lucid dream' and the night mantra 'tonight or soon I will lucid dream' . I am very optimistic now and i'm sure I will be lucid soon, and i'm very excited for the next class although I will miss it too. Sorry and please excuse me. On the other note In waking I have been very sick and tired so when I Go to bed I struggle to sleep but hopefully today will be different. My recall has dropped from 4 to 1 per night, but this is simply because of my sickness I think. I have been too tired to write my dreams instantly so I unfortunately only remember small fragments. Hopefully this week I will be better and I will be normal.

One more question, when saying the mantra are you trying to get yourself to lucid dream automatically or are you trying to get yourself to reality check? Using a mantra like 'tonight or soon I will lucid dream'

I'm feeling better! Last night I read my DJ for 15 minutes then I meditated focusing on my mantra for about 10 minutes (feeling optomistic because i had used my mantra a lot during the day) then i planned on attempting to visualise (this was before i read the second class long) but my mind wondered and i fell asleep.

Dream 1: I was in my old house, my whole family was there. R was watching TV F was in the kitchen. My dad called me to the side and asked me if i completed teh task. In waking i have forgotten what the task was. In the dream i took off a ring which my dad took and then he controlled me. He read my mind and was satisfied that i had completed the task. I left to do another task (which i also forgot in the waking) and when i returned teh ring thing happened again and my dad was satisfied.

Dream 2: This dream took place ina family member's shop, the details are personal so i will not post. The dream was very long and nothing weird happened.

Dream 3: This was another 'episode' of my first dream. Again i completed the unknown tasks my dad took the ring and then i did the second task. The second task involved spelling. I had super powers in both these dreams.

Dream 4: Another version of my second dream, once again personal.

Dream 5: I cannot remember this dream right now so when i have access to my DJ i will post it exactly.

I think these results are great because my dream recall was 0 before i joined DV, then it rocketed up to 4, then it dropped (dry patch because of sickness) to 1, now i'm better and i recall 5 dreams! So i'm quite happy. I read the second class log, and i'm very excited for tonight because i have been visualising stuff for a few years so i'm good at it, i wake up about 5 times a night and i have been lucid before so i know the excitement. I'm hoping to complete teh forest task soon. Then my other lucid tasks afterward would be to:
Visualise myself at school with my friend (who is a possible dream sign) i will visualize doing a reality check, then visualise him giving me a lucid soda (inside joke) the soda tin will be Red - the liquid will be blue - the straw will be yellow.
My mantra during day is: "I do reality checks in dreams"
During night: "Tonight or soon i will lucid dream"

Last night wasn't good. I very excited after reading the class log. But I never had time to visualise until I fell asleep. Although I lost concentration and fell asleep. With no dreams recalled. But today I have time to visualise and say my mantra so tonight I will be lucid.

My recall dropped again I only remembered 1 this time. I think i'm doing what i'm supposed to but the problem is I battle to visualise just before sleep which really sucks. So in waking I was happy and excited for sleep. But just before sleep my mind wandered, I started to feel sick and eventually I just fell asleep. So I will keep trying, as i'm dying to complete the weekly MILD task so that's part of my motivation.

I have two questions. Any information will be great :) Firstly when I prefer to visualise myself in an unrealistic environment, so a forest is quite realistic. Whenever I visualise my forest a unicorn always seems to be there. Not because of the ToTM :) but I really battle to visualise without it there. I do not visualise riding it though. So the unicorn will hopefully make me realise i'm dreaming. Or must I try get it out my dreams? Secondly, I know this was asked in the second class, but how long must the visualisation be? As soon as we have visualised us flying in the dream must we visualise waking up? Or can we visualise more lucid stuff?

Anyway i'm so happy because I think I can come to the 4th class!

Last night I remember one long dream. I had super powers just like Clark Kent (i'm not a huge smallville fan) I remember using the super speed to save people - it was really sweet :) that's all I can remember, oh and my best friend who is a frequent dream sign was there.

Excellent job! I am glad your recall improved, that motivates a lot and increases a lot the chances to turn lucid in the future!

I am sorry for my delay, I have been reading your workbooks but I've been insanely busy!!

I can feel myself getting closer to MILDing. Firstly I decided to get my recall back up as a first priority so here's how last night went: During the day I visualised my forest nicely. I used the mantra 'i lucid dream'. And meditated a bit in the afternoon with I simple breathing technique. Before sleep at night I read the 2nd class log. I relaxed, then I said my night mantra for about 3 minutes: 'i will have vivid and interesting dreams which I will recall perfectly'
Then I visualised my forest nicely. I fell asleep.

There were my dreams:
Dream 1: Me and some friends were at a resort. My friend M's party wasn't going to kick off because not many people were coming. S was boring Sprite into a dish, and I was really annoyed. So I wondered where P was because he normally sorted out S. I went for a walk for a bit and when I came back I saw my friend Jono (who is a dreamsign because he has been in all my dreams for a week) I looked at him and laughed because I said sarcastically 'i better do a reality check because I don't know where you came from' and we both laughed because I was so sure I was in reality. The report was exactly like my forest except it was in my forest and everything seemed Green and when I left I was in the forest.
Dream 2: I was in the (distorted looking) school library doing work and I was finished so I was going to leave when I was messing around with P and G. P hit me a little hard so I lost my temper and punched him really hard in the face and stomach. He fell to the floor crying, then got up and ran outside. It was raining and I followed him saying I was sorry and he just kept on interrupting me so I said 'forget it' and went inside to get my bag. He followed but I ignored him. Then I went to my dad, who was fetching me. He was parked in a forest. When I got inside the car I decided to do my visualisation OR my mantra I don't know which. But I tried to open my eyes and I woke up(eyes closed) in rl.
Dream 3: I was at a resort. The 2 kids went off to the sea to play in the water with tubes. I didn't really do much but finally I decided to go too. I went to a store to get some supplies to swim. Tube, grenade and flashlight. Then I went towards the sea, and the dream ended.
Dream 4: Computer teacher would not tell us why we didn't have the IT teacher coming over to our school so we fought with her and eventually she made the excuse 'because he is at a matric dance at the time' (a matric dance is like a prom I guess for anyone who doesn't know) then the dream faded.
Dream 5: this was just a variation of dream 3. Where we just threw some grenades into the sea.

That's alright Prof. Percy Last night I thought of something during a WBTB. Please if anybody could comment it would be very helpful :). Every night I naturally wake up fully about 3 times. I am never sleepy at these times though. But last night I kind of woke myself up using the dream. Could it be because of my night mantra 'i will have vivid and interesting dreams which I will recall perfectly'? In my dream last night when I got in the car at the end I thought about lucid dreaming. Then I 'changed' between the two world's because I was going to do my visualisation but I imagined opening my eyes and then I woke up in rl(eyes closed). I actually quite enjoy waking at these times naturally as I can always recall well:). Is this situation weird or is it normal?

I know Motley and Dakotahnok, if you guys read this my recall is back! I think it has been because I was focusing to much on MILD, forgetting you need dream recall. I'm hopefully going to remember my average 4/5 dreams tonight. My night mantra is now a recall mantra. My day mantra is a mantra to get me excited for the night, and my visualisation is slowly appearing in my dreams! I also hope your guys recall returns, and that mine stays constant. Because Wednesday is coming soon :).

On a workBook related note. My dreams have contained high levels of day,week and month residue lol. I have a question PercyLucid. I often have chained dreams if not from the same night usually the same week. They are never exactly the same dream though. I must admit it is quite nice though. Is there such thing as dream residue? Because my dreams usually link after my natural WBTB's. I do not try dream chain though it is natural. Maybe I should try use it to become lucid?

I WENT LUCID! Yay, i'm writing this during a very confused WBTB, because I must have had a dream in a dream lol. Well anyway here is my longest and most stupid way of doing lucidity.
I woke up and say it was 1:30 A.M., I decided to check Dream Views on my phone quickly. The damn internet would just not work. I kept trying but it failed. I put the phone down, laughing to myself thinking I should do a reality check when stuff doesn't work. Even though the awakening felt as real as day I counted my fingers (my first of three) I saw my numbers were really messed up so I counted several times. One time it was only 3 fingers on my left. I thought to myself that I could be dream but I wasn't sure. So I got up to go look in a mirror. The bathroom was in the wrong place. I slammed my poor dogs head in this random door that was there. But it was like see-through. I looked in the mirror, and I had a scar on my cheek, and Harry Potter glasses. Okay I was lucid. I left the room to go outside and do the ToTM (if it was a forest I would have done Percy's task) outside was a forest though so I must be getting close. I really wasn't sure if I was dreaming. I was almost outside when my parents called me into their room. (They were acting like it was 8 at night) They asked where I was going, so I was really worried I wasn't dreaming. I said outside, but then the dream started to fade and I woke up.

I have to say that I am really upset to have been lucid but still be unsure, because as the dream started to end I was sure I was dreaming and ready to try fly:).
Unfortunately the dream felt so much like a dream it wasn't as real as my first proper lucid.
I am sorry angry I forgot what to do by not stabilizing the dream, asking for more vividness and actually doing what I wanted.
Anyway atleast now i'm sure I will lucid again soon:).
P.S. Percy I forgot to enter Sunday's results down, I will enter them when I wake up.

Sunday's results: I died in my dream, it was very cool. I recalled another 2 dreams after that. BTW i got shot with a gun, at my school.

Besides the lucid dream i rcalled another 2 dreams. I did my same mantra and i still visualise my forest nicely. My forest even appeared im DILD yesterday it was my garden. But my parents wouldn't let me go outside so i lost lucidity.
Hope to MILD tonight because i need to complete the task.
P.S. PercyLucid please reply, am i allowed to visualise myself in my school doing a reality check with a forest next to it, because i always dream about school. So it would be more MILD proof. Or is this illegal? Lol, thanks

Don't worry, you'll be able to have the lucid dream tonight and complete the task. I think we all will!

Haha thanks B2T. Lol atleast next time I will remember to stabalize:). Anyway yes we all will achieve the lucid task tonight. But I will do it first because i'm 9 hours ahead of Percy's time :). Good luck though

That's true. But before now I never do reality checks, except when something doesn't work (my internet). The whole of today i have done RC's lol. I wonder if Percy will accept it if i walked outside into the forest and flew there? My dream residue always makes me dream of school.

Well, the task is only to fly over a forest, so I say it is okay.

Daily residue usually leaves me in my house, and a forest is across the street.

My garden became a forest in that dream. But as stupid as it sounds I was scared of going outside because of the house alarm and i was scared it was reality. But next time i will do a gravity check =)

I didn't LD last night =(
I went to sleep quite optomistic, with my mantra. I only visualised once. Well because of drastic time differences i have until tomorrow (for me) before the class lol =D
One dream recalled - I was writing a test which i failed, so when i woke i was very happy.

Nobody has completed the task this week right???
Well I think i would have done it if i visualised my school or something, because a forest is very unlikely for me. But it did appear in 4 or 5 of my dreams. But still I think school would be more likely.

I have a lot on my mind, so last night i just went to sleep listening to my music (rock/metal) it really helps me though.
I HAD A LUCID DREAM! I am not very motivated right now. So what another lucid who cares? It was lame anyway. I knew i was dreaming but i didn't want to control it. (lack of motivation surely). It was really weird so any insight would be amazing.
I was in my house, and i knew i was dreaming, i just knew it. So i knew i needed to do a reality check to be sure. But i didn't want to. So i went along with the dream and it was just me and my family eating. Here is the weird part. I could tell that i was lying in my bed in RL. I got bored of the dream and so i woke up. Yes, i woke up, i cannot explain but i made myself wake up. So the lucid was long, i had control but i chose not to control. Please anyone if you know why? I often wake myself from dreams on purpose EVEN when i'm not lucid lol. Well Percy BTW i am lucky enough to wake up 4 times a night so i can WBTB nicely. I am fully awake at these times though. So Prof. Percy =) a question, should i try a WBTB everytime lol?

You didn't want to control it... it's due to your lack of motivation, most likely. When you fell asleep, you probably couldn't care less if you had a lucid dream or not, right?

But yes i did not try to lucid dream, so i guess i was unmotivated, but still in RL i don't care that i didn't try control it (as B2T would say 'lolwut') well i met a girl today and i'm really hoping she will be in my dreams tonight (i cant stop thinking of her) + (nothing sexual). Well when my motivation is weakest i normally LD, and unfortunately i'm not feeling the motivation again today. So hopefully something will spark.

Haha I edited it, and i hope you did a RC when you saw it lol. And i can't wait to dream of her tonight :oops: she will make me do a RC in my dream and become lucid =D . Yes Percy i will only focus on my weekly task when this happens (i'm too young lol).

Last night i tried, but failed at visualising. I also tried a WBTB but it didn't work for me. Well everyone has lost their motivation. But mine is back.

Thanks Percy. I changed my night mantra to a recall mantra, and my recall is now a steady 3 dreams recalled i think. Anyway i have had 2 lucids during this course (out of 4) so i'm going to miss the class when it is over =(
And i think i can make the last class but i'm not sure. But i have to try attend or i will fail this class :D

Yesterday i visualized twice. No lucid but i knew i would dream of ghosts because i watched like half a season of Supernatural. My day mantra was 'I lucid dream' and night 'I will have vivid and interseting dreams which i will recall perfectly'.

Yesterday i visualized a little and did my usual mantras.
I recalled 3 long dreams.

No, I missed the last class :(. I was so ready to go but my internet failed me. Anyway my dreams have become different. During my dream when it's time to go, I wake myself up. Because When I wake up I do not think 'what did I dream' I just know it, and it feels like I have just been daydreaming. It no longer feels like i'm dreaming.

I'm afraid I kinda, stopped trying to lucid dream for a while. I got very lazy, and my recall dropped. Anyway i'm back on board, and I did my mantra and visualisation yesterday. So 3 dreams recalled last night.
Anyway great class PercyLucid, i'm really gonna miss it :-D

Same here, man... School has made me stop doing everything :( Keep with it.

School actually makes my lucid dreaming better, probably because of the sleeping pattern, and I always remember to do my mantra. But i'm just a freak :)

Last night I had 3 really long cool dreams. Which I never wrote because I was at a friends house. I remembered them perfectly in the morning but a busy day destroyed them. I didn't visualise or mantra though.

Okay I will write keywords from now on, and for the one dream I told myself to remember 'hotel' but it doesn't help me remember:)
A quick question. When people recall dreams do you recall straight after the dream or when you wake up the next morning? Because I am almost fully awake after every dream.

Lucky!! Then you can WBTB really well. I am a deep sleeper and school destroyed what I had worked up to so I do not wake after every dreama nymore... I remember a little bit in the morning.

Yes, but i'm always too lazy to WBTB lol but i will try my best from now in =D
And holidays destroyed everything i worked up to lol.
