Thanks for creating your workbook thread! The first lesson was just an introduction to what meditation is, what benefits it has and different types of meditation. I'll be covering techniques and how to improve your technique in the following lessons.

hmm. Its becoming easier for my to clear my thoughts, it goes much quicker. But I find it hard to keep it longer than 10-20 minutes lately. Its like im waiting for something, its hard to describe- I have most of the knowledge I need, but its like I need to explore each avenue of that knowledge and get new knowledge before I can take the next step. Im going to re-read some of the material I have. I hope my chakra shirt comes soon, that will help immensely
In meditation, you often reach a point where you can't get further without more practice. I'll be covering this in much more detail in the next lesson, but until then, keep at it!

Read about void meditation, I have actually been doing this for a month already so ill be sure to post my experiences soon. An interesting effect ive been able to do is- When I meditate I sometimes concentrate on "meta concentration" which is concentration on love. Now whenever I close my eyes and take a deep breath, I get a subtle euphoric feeling that clears my mind.

That's interesting, I'm not completely sure what you mean. But I look forward to reading your experiences with it, and maybe I'll understand better then :).

Read about focal meditation, I have been rotating these two tpes for over a month without knowing it! Some notable experiences with focal meditation are... One time when I was focusing on the brow chakra I got a strong pulsing sensation which I spread to the rest of my body which was extremely relaxing. Another time I concentrated on the space around me in the room I was at and imagined my awareness syncronizing with the room, I got some very interesting feelings, like I was sensing what was in the room and feeling each surface. The euphoric feeling is sort of like a affirmation I have connected to taking a deep breath with my eyes closed so I can relax when I need to.

You probably have done focal meditation before without realizing it. Every time you do breathing exercises when beginning meditation, the focal object you're using is your breath as you count it. Keep up the meditation, and tomorrow I'll be posting the final lesson for this class :).

Ive made progess over time with meditation. Ive been doing it occasionally when I have the chance. Ive been able to get more sensations and go into a deeper calm, the problem is that I feel like I rush myself to much and am a little ashamed that I havent found the answer yet. Ive been trying to discover how to do the ancient "light and sound" meditations as those are the most important. I think I might have to find a master for that though.. That makes it a lot harder (being a college student and all).
It's good that you're keeping up the meditation. Don't be ashamed if you're not making progress, it's not something that can be rushed. I have to say that I haven't heard of the "light and sound" meditations, and I'm going to look into them a bit more. Who knows, if it's worth doing, I might add the, to the course next semester :).
