Gonna be playing this all night with my buddies. Back when I played UT2k4, I did hear about Alien Swarm, but I never got around to checking it out. |

The classic UT2004 mod, Alien Swarm, has been remade in the latest Source Engine and is being released for free today on steam. Alien Swarm is a top down shooter with 4 player co-op. The game should be released around 3pm eastern. |

There is--though I do not know how there is or why there is--a sense of infinite peace and protection in the glittering hosts of heaven. There it must be, I think, in the vast and eternal laws of matter, and not in the daily cares and sins and troubles of men, that whatever is more than animal within us must find its solace and its hope. I hope, or I could not live.

This game is really awesome, I just finished it yesterday with my friends. It's pretty short, but it's free. The SDK is already released though, so I think we'll see some new fan made campaigns not too far into the future |

I tried playing one offline game and it was pretty fun. My computer couldn't seem to handle too many aliens at a time; when they started pouring in at the end the whole game ran really slowly. |

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble running the game. It is a lot of fun, i can't wait until some more full campaigns are released. I haven't visited the forums in a while, but the last time I was there there were some interesting ideas for mods and some good add-ons in development. |
