      Resident Evil

So a while ago, I got Resident Evil 3 and beat it, then I got Resident Evil 2 and beat Leon's story.

I really have been wanting to play Resident Evil Remake for GameCube, so I just got it like a week ago and it's great. I still think the graphics are pretty good for it's time, and even better than some of today's games.

If you know Remake, I'm about to get the 4th Death mask and I have to mess with some lights to get it.

Anyone else enjoy Resident Evil, as in Game, Movies, Books?

I enjoyed the original and Code Veronica. Then I got completely addicted to Outbreak File 2. The movies were entertaining too. Of course it's a lot different from the video games, but still enjoyable. I still quote some of the cheesier lines from the first game like "Wait a minute, don't open that door", and no one gets it, but whatever.

Res5 Im not such a big fan of.... Res4 in a way to(still a fun game though), I like the viral zombie stuff, not the parasite BS. B

Yeah, now I just got back to the mansion after paying a visit to Lisa and Neptune. I plan on playing 0 next, then maybe 4 and 5. I downloaded 5 as a demo and to me, the controls are all weird, but hopefully I'll end up getting over it when I play it for real some day. I think they made the parasites this way because the game would probably be too easy if they walked all slow, but you had over the shoulder camera. Honestly, they could have kept the original camera.

I also enjoy the movies. It's OK to me that they don't follow the games that well (although I'd love to see a movie with the Spencer Mansion), but the only thing I don't exactly get is the character, Alice. Who the f_ck is Alice? Lol. I mean she's like the main bad ass blowing up stuff, running down buildings, but she has no part what so ever in the games. Maybe Capcom should get permission to just add her in RE6.

Yeah, and sometimes I just feel like yelling "RICHARD!!!". In Jill's story, you give him the serum successfully and then... yeah. Sucks to be him.

Lol yeah. I was glad I saved before it because I ran to get his serum, but got distracted by all those zombies by the 2nd save room. By the time I got back I realized how much time I spent, then I was like "aww... Richard is dead...". I made sure to kill the zombies before going to see Richard when I reloaded. Plus, I burned all 3 of them zombies for the price of 1 by laying them on top of each other, to make sure they don't come back as those ...crimson heads...

Well I beat Remake with the help of a YouTube walkthrough. So I then ordered Resident Evil: Umbrella Conspiracy which is the book based on the mansion incident and just received it today. It's pretty neat the way the 1st chapter goes in depth about who the characters are, and it contains "newspaper" articles of the bizarre murders happening in Raccoon City which was before the outbreak was known about. It also goes a little bit into the Mission Briefing before taking off to the Arklay Mountains, whereas in the game you just basically see a brief news story and a cutscene of landing in the forest.

I don't know any of the RE movies or video games other than RE4 for wii. I was absolutely addicted last year, and beat that game over and over... in a pretty short period of time.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Lol well you should probably try playing the other games, preferably the older ones like Remake. They really bring on the survival concept. You can play them on Wii if you have a gamecube controller and memory card,

well, the thing about resident evil 4 is that is totally different in game play fromthe older ones, and there is way more action in it, so theres a chance people that has just played the RE4 or RE5, wont like the older version when they play them, for reasons like the camera 3 person view, the survival " pray that you find some ammonition in the next room" or your deadd... , and the older ones aree wayy harder than the RE4, cause of the variety of puzzels, low ammunition, THE DAMN CAPACITY OF STORAGE, the low number of Herbs, ( in the older ones, you just cant go find a guy standing there forever waiting for you to purchase big guns or spray heals xDD )
other than that, is you like the survival horror games, jump off your sofa once in a while, and not being able to play it at night.. and ofcurse hard games.. totally go for it ) ohh and the story is awesomee..

Well I know this thread is a little old but not that old, and I didn't feel like starting a new one. But I have an update.

I've been playing Resident Evil 0 (with Rebecca and Billy). I just got to the Church through that big laser/observatory-looking room after swapping to Disc 2, and now I have to fight this giant bat. Well, I left most of my health items and ammo behind so I only have my handgun w/bullets.

Does anyone here know of a way to go back, if it is even possible? I have another recent save, still in the training facility and I'm thinking about loading that, but I don't want to have to do that if I don't have to. I've tried Google already and no luck.
