Sounds interesting, when did it come out? |

I find almost all of these zombie films and TV series pretty tiresome and bland, but I thought this was awesome. It's a 3 part series by the BBC. The basic premise is that there was a sudden mass resurrection of the recently deceased, and they were violent zombies, but a cure was found which safely suppresses the zombie characteristics and returns the undead to their normal personalities. It's really a human drama rather than being about horror or action. The series is focused on the social issues of the recently revived returning to a village in the English countryside which was hard-hit by the zombies, and in particular a family whose son had committed suicide. Well shot, well acted, well written, and it's really dramatic and emotionally hard-hitting. Has anybody else seen it? If not you should definitely check it out. |

A couple of weeks ago, I think. It didn't have much of an audience and it broadcast on BBC3, but I thought it was the best TV drama I'd seen in a long while. |
I'll have a look at it once I have some spare time, sounds interesting. I'm usually not into all the actons scenes either unless there is a really good plot going on. |
It already became one of my favourite series. Don't think that you're coming to a Walking Dead kind of series, this is truly much more dramatic. A new face of zombie shows that is very original. |

I watched the trailers and it does look like it may be good. Only three episodes though? Was it cancelled? |
Not at all. It's just dense. In the US they have a tendency to pad series out until they're threadbare... I imagine this would've made 12 episodes over there. Most series here are 6 episodes long or so, and really good ones (Sherlock, Wallander...) often come in threes. |
I'll watch this, but only because Xei said so. |
I watched the first episode and can understand now why it's only 3 episodes. It seems like it could be 2, like it's almost over already. |
Not bad. I liked their take on the whole zombie theme. The rehabilitation and the controversy it created were really interesting concepts. |
