      I'm looking for a game...

I know it's silly, but I LOVE Facebook games. One of the ones I'm most addicted to is Farm Town.
I like the multitude of crops and trees I can grow and the facilities I can add once I reach a certain level.
I LOVE the game, also, as a creativity outlet.

Here's the most recent pic of my farm:

I'm about to lose my internet and I was wondering if anyone knows of a game that's *like* Farm Town?

Sims, isn't quite what I'm looking for.
The game would have to be for a PC or PS3 or even a DSi or iPad (off-line play).

Any input would be most appreciated.

      **EDIT**
      Let's try this again.
I screwed up my copy/paste job, but here it is:

You should check out some real sims, like the SimCity series. They are a ton of fun

I was going to talk about SimCity too.

There is some games for the iOS platform, but I don't remember the name, they are pretty much what you are looking for.

Thanks again. I've had 2 copies of SimCity 4 and both disappeared (*curses children*). It's only about $20. now-a-days, so I might give it another try.

You might really enjoy Harvest Moon for the DS (it probably works for the DSi, too)...

Harvest Moon DS at Nintendo :: Games

      Features

      • Raise cows, sheep, chickens and ducks
      • Plant and grow a variety of crops and trees
      • New festivals, extensions, items and minigames

I DO play Harvest Moon on my DSi and I love it That and Animal Crossing.

I just REALLY love Farm Town (even more so than Farmville) because of the factories and the glitches that allow "landscaping" (or, rather, the illusion of landscaping).
I like that I can buy up to (I think) 7 farms.
I DON'T like how long it takes to level up, the levels required to buy those other farms or the spending of real money to buy them if too impatient to wait.

Spore is a good option too. I used to have that game as well. I hate having to re-buy games because 1) I either lost the box with the stupid installation code on it (!!!!!!!!!!!) 2) or my kids lost, destroyed or stole the first copy.

Does anyone know how to get around the installation codes? I have a lot of games that I've had for several computers (i.e. several years) and as many times as we move, I've lost so many game boxes and code sheets.

You might like Anno 1404 Dawn of Discovery and Anno 1701 for DS. They're great if you enjoy building your own civilizations from nothing. Also if you like Animal Crossing...you should check out Enchanted Folk and the School of Wizardry. It's similar to Animal Crossing but a lot more fun, with lots of mystery time quests and magic spells that you can cast on the townspeople/flowers/bugs/fish etc.
