Rocco's modern life is the shit, thank you for providing me with another source of procrastination.
hahaha! Cool. Some of those are a stretch and others seem almost not subliminal but obvious!
Not subliminal messages but similar to the video you posted.
I don't think I've seen such obvious sexual references in cartoons before. I don't think I've actually watched spongebob squarepants, but I thought it was a kids' show. Same with the flinstones. How can that flinstones scene even be interpreted in a nonsexual way? Some don't even seem subliminal, they're just obvious sex jokes. (Btw I'm pretty sure sea sponges are asexual).
more Rocko
Those are some obvious ones in rocko.
Yeah, I always wondered how Rocko and Ren and Stimpy ended up on Nickelodeon.
For some reason I have a fear of Ren and Stimpy. I watched about 2 episodes, and I get this really disturbed terrified feeling when I watch it or even think about it. I can't even describe the horror I feel when I watch that show. It's something about the animation style, the strangeness, It's like some terrifying children's hell nightmare. Is that show supposed to give people that feeling, or is it just me? Anyway, if it isn't just me, it seems that show should be banned for how scary it is, sex references aside.
Ren and Stimpy is creepy and gross and violent, but that's why it's so great. It takes the nasty parts of life and make them funny. I don't remember too many sex jokes.
My mom never let me watch shows like Ren and Stimpy when I was a kid. Now I know why... As for shows that gave me the creeps as a child. Courage the Cowardly Dog was a BIG one. Especially this unforgettable scene, this gave me nightmares. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_kyJTr33iM&feature=related I will NEVER forget this episode, EVER!
HAHA, mine either but that didn't stop me.
Ren and Stimpy was the worst. But shows like Courage the Cowardly Dog and Cat-Dog were bad too. I also hate almost all claymation for a similar feeling. It's something about the animation, the strangeness, that makes them really creepy.
Stop motion is the correct term. Most films that are stop motion, don't use clay. That is actually a rarity, Clay is such a pain in the ass to animate, especially compared to foam latex puppets. I used to be an amateur stop motion animator.
