      Foreign language films

What are some of your favorites? Here's mine, mostly Asian.

      -Ip Man
      -Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

-Oldboy (one of my all time favorites)
-Red Cliff parts I and II (another one of my all time favorites. John Woo at his finest)
-Akira (best only anime film I've ever seen, incredible animation and story)
-City of God (Basically a far superior unrated version of Slumdog Millionaire, but set in Brazil)
      -El Mariachi

Street of Crocodiles or anything by the Brothers Quay
The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover
      Tetsuo the Iron Man
      Man Bites Dog
      Santa Sangre

I quite liked Inception and Tron Legacy, great foreign language movies.

I've only seen one I liked The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Or maybe two but I can't remember what the other one was called.
I also watched GWDT with English dub, best dub I've ever seen/heard, couldn't even tell most of the time.

Oh yes, I've seen that. It's quite good.

Most of the time I cbf watching foreign movies with subtitles coz you miss half the movie reading them. Probably more than half.

I saw the Ip man movies with Donnie yen. they were fantastic! Some of the best martial arts movies to come out in the past couple of years.

I haven't seen Ip Man 2 yet, it's not available on Netflix right now. Was it as good as the first one?

Bodyguards and Assassins (about protecting Sun Yat Sen from assassins while he's going to a meeting in Hong Kong. Intense but also sad)
Secret (Pop star Jay Chou (Green Hornet) 's only watchable movie. Music is GREAT, good time travel story too)
Shaolin Soccer (Uh... just awesome and epic)
Suspect X (Based off the Japanese 'Detective Galileo' series, about how a physics professor solves cases with awesome physics and logic. The series is fantastic, and arguably better than the movie, which is already awesome)
Fear and Trembling (A Belgian girl takes a job at a Japanese company and witnesses the scary social hierarchy there)
The Dinner Game (Hilarious French film about a stuck up guy who invites stupid people to dinner to make fun of them, but one day is forced to get help from one)
Michel Vaillant (French racing film I watched ages ago but remember I enjoyed...)

I know Inglourious Basterds is technically not a foreign film, but it's in 2 foreign languages half the time and is one of my favorite movies EVER.

Yeah it was excellent, the final fight scene is longer and a bit more intense!

Oldboy is masterpiece. Amelie is one of my favorites too. I love foreign films (even though technically Hollywood is foreign to me, but yeah).

Re-watched Battleship Potemkin a week ago.

Foreign language but subtitles not necessary.

Found time to watch Kapò. Italian film makers are just swell.
