No this isn't fake or anything like that, Rockstar Games actually released a trailer today about a new game they're making.
It looks like it's going to take place in San Andreas this time. Some people on Youtube are saying the guy talking is most likely Claude from GTA III (even though he never talked in that game).
Also, when I first saw the trailer and saw the glimpse of the black guy running, I really thought it was CJ. Same clothing CJ had at the start of SA. Maybe he'll be related to CJ, that would be cool.
As for the location, I'm really happy it's back in San Andreas.
I really hope they live up to people's expectations though. Everyone knows SA was the most featureful, and people are going to want it like that again. Customizable cars, fully customizable clothes, flying planes (which I'm sure they will have, since they seemed to put emphasis on the plane near the end of the trailer)

Yeah, that's Tommy alright....as for CJ, it's doubtful that it's him. On the easter egg graffiti it mentions "RIP CJ", but it only says things like "well always remember you" under Tommy and Claude's name.

I've never played the game in my life, but the story in that trailer was sad. I don't understand why there was happy music.

Well, at first the happy music is for all the good stuff he describes. Then I'm guessing the "sad" bit of the story you are talking about is the bit where he says "but, you know how it is". The way he says it shows no regret, there isn't really need for sad music. Besides, it's basically going back to the "good old days" that he'd remember. GTA characters tend to enjoy making trouble, lol :P
By the looks of it, he's wanting to settle with a family, but first he has to have a bit of fun. That's the way I interpreted that.
Dunno how you got sad from it though.

I've seen stills with at the very least a learjet. I'd like to see the Harrier make a comeback, though.
But yeah - extremely excited about this.
Also, this better have cheat codes. Half the fun of San Andreas was in spending hours just going around and causing mayhem with all of the different codes.

I could have sworn I saw one in there.....maybe I was mentally pretending. Oh, there's also a blimp in the vid.
But if the controls are anything like last GTA... no thank you

It appears that the movements are a lot more fluid, I just hope they improve the physics on the driving end. I'm sure I'll get it regardless, I have all the GTA series and Vice City is still my all time favorite. Rockstar will have to step it up big time because I picked up Saints Row 3 the other day and it's hella fun!
