Huzzah, some dubstep fans that aren't too high and mighty to like the simple mainstream stuff. I swear, you can't talk about the new style of dubstep anymore without someone getting hormonal about what it was like when it started. I love Skrillex AND Burial, yet so many think that to be blasphemous. It's such a shame when people disregard music when it becomes popular.

I wasn't able to post links at the time of my earlier post, but this is what I meant by 'trancecore'. It's too autotuned for seasoned metallers, yet too heavy for non-metallers. Only since coming to uni and doing a music course have I found others that actually like it, my school was such a Taio Cruz-loving shithole.

This is probably my favorite Ke$ha song (though I like most of them)... it's so deliciously evil.

^I haven't heard that one before. The lyrics to her songs are so brainless and I hate liking them, but I suppose I do. But only in like.. a sexy way.

I'll post a different type now. This is a death metal band with a female vocalist. I think it's great, but am still embarrassed to admit I like it for obvious reasons.

Tatu is a big guilty pleasure of mine. I'm not so big on Sigur Ros... I love their song from The Life Aquatic but didn't really dig the other songs by them I listened to. Sorry Omnis, I know this is my loss and not yours, but I really can't stand dubstep.

I do really like Enya though, but I suppose that's not a guilty pleasure because she's fucking awesome.

Again, no idea why I like this. This band performed live at the intermission of a Canadian singing competition my cousin was in. I was drunk and thought the woman was sexy but that the song was stupid. But afterward I found the song was in my head, looked it up, and realised I liked it.
EDIT: Just realised that I can almost - almost - relate to so many of this song's lyrics specifically, after a dream I had last night (in my DJ). I seriously didn't even realise this when I posted the song, only after actually listening to it, but am distraught now.

I like the song "What the Hell" by Avril Lavigne.. Probably because I first heard it accompanying the music video

Its all over the radio and i usually hate songs on the radio ( elitist metalhead and jazzlover) but this song is so awesome

The only song that comes to mind is:

Wu Tang Clan - "Shame on a Nigga"

I'm not ashamed to admit it to anyone but real Wu Tang Clan fans. It's the only song they've ever done that I've really liked. It's awkward to be asked what other of their songs I enjoy, because honestly, to my knowledge, there aren't any.

It's also awkward to tell people the name of the song, because I'm white. Just putting that out there. :I
