I might check it out sometime. Although, humor drawn from awkwardness tends to make me more uncomfortable than anything. Seinfeld is funny, but some of the things George does are just so uncomfortable it isn't funny and hurts to watch.

Why? Entertainment could be made and viewed by all, and not just an elite few who have to follow arbitrary, ridiculous rules that inhibit, if not destroy creativity.

The story of this show's conception is rather inspiring. I also agree, internet enables greater competition allowing more quality programming to reach an audience despite not appearing marketable to a half dozen media moguls with fixed but inaccurate worldviews.

It could be argued that it's racism but you can't blame them for it. It's like the movie Moneyball, the Recruiters were doing what they honestly believed would create the best team. Pursuing untested methods is risky. It took George Lucas 30 years to make Red Tails and he funded it himself because no one wanted to invest in a film with so few white actors, not because they didn't like black people but because they believed a high budget film needs the elements that will pull in a large enough audience to make a profit. They don't look to see if the script is good or not, they follow antiquated guidelines on what they believe will pull an audience. Tyler Perry is given a set budget for every film he makes because they're not trying to exceed the profit his audience will pull in. It's poor speculation, and we know this but they haven't caught on yet. They think a film like Fly boys would pull in a greater audience than Red Tails even though one has a good story and the other has a shitty story. They're rather condescending about people, but they're not bigots for the sake of it.

first of all her videos aren't even average as far as comedy goes. as a matter of opinion, it's garbage. secondly, if this becomes the norm in the way of entertainment, then as little as 2 generations from now people won't recognize quality anymore. it's not a reflection of how i feel about you, though.
