Assassin's Creed III (Screenshots 'n Stuff)

I'm still working my way through AC II. The setting of the third installment comes as a pleasing surprise.

This one does look awesome! Though i wish they would slow down with the production of this franchise. Revelations was only release 3 months ago! Don't want to ruin a good franchise with over saturation

I've only ever played Revelations and I loved it. I'll probably go back and play AC II and Brotherhood. I'm not sure how I feel about this American Revolution crap with AC III, maybe if I get to kill Americans I'll be ok with it. I hate American history tbh, I wish they kept the franchise in more ancient times. Then again, if I had played all the AC up until now, maybe I'd be ready for the change, but since I'm still new, I could spend all day in those ancient cities and civilizations, so much more interesting to me.

Bah! I hate the American Revolution :/ I very much agree with Nina in wishing that they would have kept it in the ancient times. But as well, Imma still buy it, and play it, because the actually story line interests me very much. Atm I'm playing through Revelations, and it's pretty good. I like what they did with the bombs :D

Meh. It may as well be ancient history to us modern people. Besides, a lot of freemasons (templars according to illuminati conspiracy theoriests... which I can only assume this game franchise takes as true) were active during this vital time. I don’t know I guess I‛m into just about all historical periods prior to the 20th century. :P

Interesting how some of you don't like the American Revolution thing, am I right when I theorize that it's because you're American yourself, and thus have been dragged through it way too many times? :P
Personally know practically nothing about the American Revolution, and I'd actually like to know more, ACIII actually inspired me to get interested in this~ Anyone know some good place to read about it that isn't Wikipedia, or should I just google around and scour the Wikipedia page?
Someone on another forum just pointed this out, what the christ:

Rather than pussyfooting around with Brotherhood/Revelations for teh monies they should have just stuck with a game every other year strategy and progressed straight to III in my humble opinion.
I am concerned that the creed uniform looks a little incongruous in a American revolution time period. To me it looks like Altair just stepped out of the holy crusades and into 18th century colonial America.

Heh, yeah...let's just throw him in some worn out assless chaps and call it a day. At least he's not wearing cowboy boots...
Oh well, I still want to play it. There may not be amazing cities to scale but the whole frontier thing could be cool in a different way. :P

Ubisoft conference
'So, Red Dead Redemption, let's do that'
'Not enough conspiracy/political strife'
'Revolution then'
*murmurs of approval*

Considering Activision release 8 Guitar Hero games in 2009 alone, i think Ubisoft have a long way to go ;]

Assassin's Creed III Reveal
Pretty meh compared to the Revelations trailer, tbh. I'm guessing there will be something cooler at E3.
